Whats this nonsense. They should be training, not joking around and getting ahead of themselves. Im furious and will send the club a handwritten letter to voice my displeasure once i'm able to calm down.

Reminds me of when Voss said we would be the next super team which was about 5 or so years ago.

Obviously he was spot on and full of it. Wines is the same pumping up our tyres and hopefully the boys don’t fall for it.

All the boys have to do is look at our last two games.

Stuff the letter, get on the phone and abuse the receptionist!

And somewhere Billy Slater and Cameron Smith threw up in their mouths a little. Dermott also giggled to himself a little.

I hope the team don’t read about this: a huge risk, once again, of “getting ahead of themselves”.

Remove all plugs from the bathtubs, and preferably block the taps too.

I feel the pain.  haven't they learned to keep the heads down before big games.  Think Petracca and Gawn on The Footy Show. Someone else just posted this the otgher day about instituting a media blackout.

Viney on last night's Footy Show - Result - We're gone for sure tomorrow night!

What is this? My kids told me this dance is called “Hype” and Harmes has got it completely wrong.

Correct.  They are attempting to mimick one of the many emoji 'victory celebration' dance moves from the most popular multi player game at the moment....Fortnite...hence why your kids know this.  Jack not bad....Harmes hmmm ?? ?

Why on earth do you think that won't happen.

History tells us otherwise.

I know that’s why I said “hopefully”!

I must say my hope has dwindled after Jones said we are looking for redemption.

We r cooked now !

Sadly for the generations between about the ages of 10 to 30 not very much is happening for them Timbo.  At least for those who've become addicted.  I guess it's better than getting into narcotics or gang type situations on the street etc.  Parents obviously using it as a cheap form of babysitting in many cases.

If some addicted ones are able to transgress from user to developer or graphic artist and earn a living from making these sort of games (or getting into worldwide comps that pay big prize money) then at least they can say it was all worthwhile.  For the majority though it's just such a waste. Then again they might learn quite  few dance moves!

At last count i think there were 125 million registered Fortnite users worldwide alone.  Gaming Industry is now pulling in much bigger $$ per anum than the movie industry.

Heard some of Richard Aedy's piece on it: http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/themoney/wow:-how-onling-gaming-is-taking-over-the-entertainment-market/9841688

Our old Wii is buried away with our son more interested in picking avos, feeding goats and helping dad on the tractor and mower and slamming golf balls down the paddock. <- why we left Melbourne.

(I'm not pooh-poohing gaming and those who love it - each to their own.)

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
