Next number depends on how many goals Jeff Garlett kicks in 2019. Hopefully lots!

The sequence = the number of goals he has scored per season since 2011

Well done.

Garlett is like the 1990s Demons. Just a small illustration that Jeff has bounced back from down years before and we do have someone on the list who can actually kick an average of 2 goals a game.

So what does it have to do with Dean Kent?

Sorry mate - and to all those who wasted time trying to figure it out while I slept peacefully through the night.

Was in response to Caligua flipping out and demanding pick 30 for Kent as he supposedly kicks 2 or 3 goals per game.

I should have made that link clearer. Though I get the sense that people are quite happy with some pre-trade week diversion.

put him down for 40 plus goals in 2019 then.

If STK are prepared to offer him 3 years then they value him higher than a pick 75 IMO, but we'll take what we can get. When on he's a gun, we just didn't see it enough so realistically won't be missed.

I agree. Saints say Kent is a skilled strong fast midfielder who will greatly benefit through mid running. Yet they downgrade his value ??? FFS

4th round pick which will end up as pick 62/63 is still an insult.

Won't happen for just Pick 39.  They can get him for nothing in the pre-season draft.  That deal, with us giving them a pick back, is more likely to occur at this stage.

yeah cant see that happening unfortunately, getting one of our thirds back into the second round would be a decent result.

Gone for 65, that’s a head scratcher.

Done. Pick 65 - a bit disappointing.

Possibly...but what was anyone really expecting ?

An injury plagued and inconsistent non best 22 player on the fringe.

Good luck Kent

More disappointed he has gone - a really good player when fit but it was just not often enough.

Hope he goes well at the Saints.

Fit and with any continuity he was best 22 - its a horrible trade.

Pick 65 isn't a head scratcher - he could have left and got there for nothing. We take it and move on to the bigger fish we have to fry.

Is it just me or do you get the feeling Mahoney is a bit soft on trades. I get the feeling he doesn’t see us like the power clubs. Even with vandenburg he states this shows we are a destination club like we need to prove it like a little brother proving themselves. This trade was another cross. No tick from me.

It's not that much of a head scratcher. We didn't have a leg to stand on in any negotiation. We've seen how long these deals seem to take, if we've got bigger fish to fry, there's no point wasting time on the small stuff.

Best of luck to Kent. It wouldn't have been a hard decision given the choices on the table, but I agree with the MFC position. I reckob Josh Mahoney himself would have said "you'd be mad not to take that" on hearing the offer, and expect he goes with the MFC's blessings.

Ignoring for the moment whether it's actually Josh Mahoney's call, I completely disagree. Trading (plus free agency) is not about individual deals but the final outcome. By any measure the overall result of our list management in the last few years has been outstanding.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
