@Drunkn167 what sort of mins is Viney playing?

Did about half the first quarter, but played the majority of the second.

Is it too much to ask for Viney to be bristling with both form and fitness for next week?

Certainly wouldn’t complain if he ended up with 35 touches.

Bugg with the first goal of the second half. He’s been better too

Was it Bugg or Balic? (8.7 to 5.5 lead now)

Brian Taylor is the god of commentating compared to this lot.

No more singing please.

Really classy from this commentary mob making constant 'fat jokes' about the Casey runner.

Anyway to make an official complaint? Bunch of clowns.

Classless.

Stuie Dew could eat that runner in one sitting, though.

3/4 time Casey lead 10-11-71 to BH 7-5-47

Great quarter from Casey. Stretch playing well, forwards working together better, defence has been strong especially Keilty and J Smith. Should be pretty confident going into the last term.

3QT Casey Demons 10.11.71 lead Box Hill Hawks 7.5.47

Goals Bugg Scott 2 Baker Balic Garlett Kennedy Harris Pedersen T Smith

Disposals Stretch 23 Baker Bugg 15

Edited by KC from Casey

This is the most pressure I have seen Casey apply. No bad players and no outstanding ones. Really like stretch game.

High level of inaccuracy at 10:11.

In Melbourne it is perfect conditions ... assume it is the same at Casey?

what is garlett's score and tackle level if anyone has it.

Thanks

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
