Jeezus poor pedo. That guy is wearing him

good. that's his role. he is a target. problem is our small defenders aren't at our key forwards' feet.

Cmon.

He was appalling in 1st half. Much better in the 3rd.

He was one of very few actually trying to make something happen in the first half, most were too lazy to man up. At least he was putting in 100% of the time. Sure he pharked up several times, but his work ethic cannot be questioned.

I managed to watch that quarter. 2 things: if we keep the tackling intensity up they appear to be crumbling, and they look to have quite a few injured so they will be running out of legs. Considering this happened to us against them last year we have to capitalise.

C’mon Dees!

Trac on track for 3 votes.

Seriously? Crucial miss then and should have swallowed the mark earlier in the quarter and gone back and kicked that too.

We are in front by 7 Frees... Expect a heap of eveners in the last.

Umps will see them over the line in the final QTR as they even things up  MFCSS says we cant win from here.

(Hope i get a heap of comeback at the end of the game)

C’mon Dees!

Keep watching Pates, otherwise i will hold you accountable for our second quarter debacle.

It seems we again put in a bad 2nd q...how many times last year did this happen? I seem to remember it happening a lot....would be interesting to see any stats on our 2nd quarters

Lever has settled down and played a good quarter

He was good....1 bad q and some on here dont want him....unbelievable the guy will be a champ for us.

geez Jones Oliver and Gawn have kept us in this.

What a difference when the second tier players have a crack.

Come on Dees.

One solid consistent quarter to go

Maynard back to Casey seconds

Arrogant old @@@@

did you see Jones at three quarter time when ablett went to high five his mate.

Hilarious

they had players lining up across the middle for a decade there. we deserved to have a goal kicked on us.

THat then was a Lesson by Geelong at how to get the ball inside 50

Game over.

I still think we can make the finals, but anyone who believes we can win the flag is a 'Tard.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.

  • PODCAST: Gold Coast

I’ll be away for the next few weeks, so Binman will be holding the fort for our podcasts covering the Suns, Bombers and Lions matches. As a result, there will be no live podcasts during this period, and we won’t be taking calls or voicemails. Binman will still be dipping into this thread to select a few questions to answer, while also combining the long-form Stats Files podcast with the Demonland Podcast for these shows. Your questions and comments are a huge part of what makes the podcast work, so please post anything you’d like to ask or say below and we’ll do our best to give you a shout-out on the show. Please try to keep each post focused on one specific topic or player to make podcast preparation a little easier. If you have multiple topics you’d like to raise, please put them in separate posts.
