I'd say weather has played a part in that. It rained for 20 hours straight before the match and there were gale force winds overnight. Lucky it died off this morning as match otherwise match may have been called off.

But yes, the atmosphere down in Tassie is usually lacking.

Maybe, but all I see is grass. I thought they’d be itching for big league games. The weather looks a lot better than here.

Petracca has been average IMO He looks good up forward but struggles in the midfield. He just doesn't seem to read the play when running through the midfield. Unless he's lead to a stoppage he is always floating in no mans land watching it go back and forward over his head. I hope he plays more forward than midfield still going forward, as he's such a hard match up when forward and could be very dominant there.

A few fumbles and a few passing errors seemed to cost us.  Hartung is their version of our Hunt - however he is the only one looking likely.

For improvement:

Stop fumbling

Goals from scraps inside 30m (we dont get any reward)

Stop Hartung’s run

Over the back goals from our high press.

Looking good:

Max, Trac, Nibbler.  Lots of others showing their wares.

Looking in danger:

No real standouts on the negative side for us - mostly small errors.  Majak is having a mare for them

No doubt that the wind played a factor that quarter - credit to North for flooding back and then hitting us on the rebound with the wind.  It's really their only play at the moment but we've allowed them to exploit it far too often.  

Having said that, there are still some positive signs.  We've had more of it, been harder at it and generally dictated play.  Harmes and ANB have been good so far, while Hibberd has been composed down back.  Tommy Mac and Hogan have been working pretty well in tandem as well.

We can't read too much into that second term, other than the fact we need to tighten the screws up defensively.

I agree, but his transition to playing well in the midfield will take time.  He needs to learn to hunt his own footy and get in the right positions.  Spending most of his time forward means that he can allow others to dictate the play a bit.  His work up forward has been excellent but, as you say, his effectiveness in the middle has been lacking.  I think that will improve in time.

I think our biggest failing to this point in the game has been our failure to stick tackles; they have been allowed to release (and clear) the ball too easily.

Am I biased in thinking the wind picked up that quarter? Looked like a crossbreeze with a slight advantage in q1 then became a gale in q2.

Out the back goals a problem but some have been caused by silly turnovers. 

Some good and bad patches. 

The main highlight has been the kicking overall looks up to a reasonable standard. That's important because I don't think you can fix that. Making game plan adjustments and match ups are easier than fixing a bad skill level.

I'd like to see the defensive pressure around the stoppages come up and I'd like to see more separation from the forwards this quarter.

Jacobs has been giving him the very hard tag.  Still had 7 touches and 4 tackles with some time on the bench, but your point is valid.  He'll get more attention than ever this year.

Oliver has been relatively quiet.
