Takeaways from our first game................

Jake Melksham isn't just pretty, he can kick a footy.

Petracca has a great vertical leap.

McDonald can take a contested grab.

Carlton has the spoon in the bag.

MFC for the flag this year.

Jonnie Red makes me positive about 2018

Might be time to switch to half nips Dingus

so he should be as a high pick

I could quote you a few names from MFC’s recent history...

Not gonna be able to watch our next game but I hope we smash Norf, because whether AFL or AFLX, my hatred for them knows no bounds.

So beat norf and we are into the grand final

I'm conflicted.

I really want to beat Norf by a long way, but I also think we should be resting our better players to give ourselves a better shot at the big one.

I mean, its a Grand Final after all.

Harmsey's looking sharp.

Very sharp.  He's deceptively good above his head as well.

Here it is boys... one half away from our first grand final in 18 years.

This is our best ever AFLX season.

Harmed is in our best 22.. Looks like he'll go up a notch this year!

How good was Fritsch kick to Melksham!!

All jokes about the concept aside, Fritsch will play senior footy at some point this year.

Too bad we're not playing footy. It might as well be a tiddly-winks gf…

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
