Adelaide would vomit at that. Francis can't even crack a game at the Bombers and seems to have less value than Watts.

Fair enough. Don't know enough about him and was hoping Adelaide would fall all over him being a high draft pick, an SA boy and under contract. I did hear the talent was there just not the application.

Wallace was discussing him on Trade Radio the other day, said he has no tank and the Bombers are worried he doesn't have the mindset to ever work hard enough to have one. Was a #6 pick from memory, that pick is cursed. Richmond did well to trade it for Prestia last year.

Motlop is a RFA.

Clubs often trade for rfa's at request of departing player rather than assume no matching of offer.

RFA does not = RFA

Sam Collins from fremantle has been delisted. I'd be keen on him.

he used to help coach some sessions for me at club football 2 years ago. Box Hill Hawks player but whenever I wore my Melbourne jumper to training he said that he loves the dees. Probably means nothing but for whatever it's worth he'd be a good tall backup backman in a defence line that's really shaping up nicely

A few people asking me what mail is about.Honestly not much this year.

Hearing the Watts loot will inform next move. They'd like Gaff and question has been asked. Unlikely at this point but shopping assets like Watts gives us a chips at the table.

Balic more likely than not.

Balic yes.

Watts has options galore. Devastated but going.

Any hope that targets will be made available next week?

Lots of talk over in the west that dockers will make a play for hogan. Eagles may look at him but unlikely.

If eagles: darling and a 1st rounder

If dockers: 1st rounder and player but god knows who.

Have a feeling it may tear its head again. I love JH but like darling at eagles, wonder with what has happened where he wants to be in 3-5 years?

Is Gibson worth a look from NM. Age is other side but healthy and could be rookie listed?

No chance we trade Hogan. I hope.

I've been hearing that also, I first mentioned it a month ago. Nixon reckons its a done deal but club denies it and Hogan said no not long ago. Maybe something has changed or they are keeping it quiet? Would not surprise me after the year he has had, but I hope he doesn't go.

I don't see it happening, BUT, WHAT IF, the Dockers offered pick 5 this year, their first pick next year, a player and Balic thrown in and we knew that with pick 5 we could get a particular big Victorian forward in the draft who could replace Jesse.

What would we do then, if that was the offer ?

2 first rounders would be the starting point.

Balic is basically a freebie anyway.

So it would come down to the player involved. No point adding on a depth or bottom 6 player, but if it was Lachie Neale or equivalent then you would have to start considering. Problem is that there is no way Freo would give up that much.

Probably not, but he is contracted and if they really want him as desperately as is being mooted, then who knows.

Matt Taberner and Harley Balic to the Dees for Dean Kent and Pick 45. Freo want more... so may involve a shuffling of picks depending on the Jack Watts situation. Kent is also not keen on leaving Melbourne and acknowledges he had an inconsistent year due to ongoing back and hamstring strains.

I must say Taberner is an ideal replacement for Watts at 199cm and runs all day like a young Nick Riewoldt and could potentially play second ruck. Hopefully we can land both at little cost.

Only happy to trade hogan if it turns into Tom Lynch... freo 2 first rounders plus our 1st rounder next year for lynch fair?

I personally hope he stays at the Suns. They will disband if he leaves. The AFL will stop it.

Is that a guess re Taberner, or have you heard something?

Strong rumours, but Dees keeping a lid on it.

I'd do it if JH wanted to go home for family reasons, but we would need a ready to go forward to replace him, either in the trade or with pick 5, but I don't think there is too many available off the top of my head? Unless you can think of any, maybe Darling? Hope he stays though.

I'd be surprised if we are into Taberner. Goodwin has already pointed out that he sees Hogan and T.Mac as our key forwards, plus we have Pedo and Weid in the wings.

24yo who's done nothing, zilch with his career to date.

Why???

Keep the lid on tight boys...

...and why would we want Darling? a perennial under achiever.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
