Ben Brown and Joe Daniher are match up nightmares...

Joe Daniher is a lock for his career at the Bummers...

Ben Brown I believe is gettable at the end of 2018... We offer him 800k a season for 5 years.  By the end of 2018 it might be a mill...

Josh Kelly will end up at North on a truck load...

I rate OMac and Frost down back. There young and raw. Lever would be great. But I think Brown should be our man.

What about targetting Lobb or Wright? Has Tom Lynch re-signed? Tippet last resort (on small money)

The beauty of TMAC playing both ends is that we can target either a Tall FWD on big money OR a tall defender, and swing TMAC back or forward accordingly.

He'll play 300 games for North and might guide them to a flag.

FMD

What a loony idea.

We have Hogan, TMAC,  Watts and a developing Weid. Enough already

Maybe the premise was that having him on our list would mean that he cannot play against us would in turn mean that we may eventually beat Norf.

He seems to turn it on every time we play them.

If we make a godfather offer to someone tom lynch from the suns would be a good target at the end of next year

I like Hogan but he doesn't have the athletic leap of someone like a Joe Danniher, Ben Brown or Tom Lynch. Hogan is more of your classic FF/CHF mould like Jonathon Brown. I have no doubt he's still going to be a star but he's not going to be in the same category as the aforementioned 3.

I think Hogan is genuinely better than those three. The problem is that, for various reasons, we are not seeing it and won't for some time. This year has been his annus horribilis. Will we ever see it again?

Anyone that think we have enough tall fwds at the moment is kidding themselves. Would love a player like brown.

Ben reminds me of an enthusiastic young Labrador with boundless energy and the equivalent trainability. If North tell him to stay, he'll stay.

No we won't get him.

Just a trifling issue but why does that ugly big [censored] get to wear a black headband and Hunt gets forced to wear the AFL lisenced product.

If they are going to be pathetic and petulant they should do so uniformly or not at alll.

The more of his face that's covered the better Biffen, regardless of colour

Hogan is a two to four goal a game forward.

The others are three to six goal  a game forwards.

We don't need Ben Brown. Let's bring back Michael 'Juice' Newton and only play him vs North for the first half only. He would take pack marks and kick 4 goals before we put the sub vest on him.

Rather a mid like Hopper or Dev Smith from GWS. Out of contract, yet to accept the GWS offers. More getable than Kelly, Dusty or this Clown from Norf

Title should have been on a sign in the demons change room before the game.

It would have been better getting Spencer in to "fall" on him,

Ben Brown has been the difference in both loses against North this season. 5 and 4 goals.

Thats likely 2 more wins if we can stop him. But we cant! Not even close. Same as Daniher.

A very good forward line can be built around him. 21yo.

Blow North out the water...

I'd love to have Brown alongside Hogan. That would be amazing. Hogan missed so much footy this year and was already looking dangerous. I think we can forget just how good this guy is. Look what he did in his first year. He's a bloosy star our Jesse!

But i think we need Lever more than Brown. Love the idea of getting Smith and Hopper as well.

Is he only 21?

meet him briefly twice - top bloke.

The first time was watching my daughters basketball game ( open age competition but low level) - sitting on the bench we were commenting that the ref looked exactly like Ben Brown (or sideshow Bob) but it couldn't be - why would he waste Sunday night ref'ing really poor standard basketball. A girl was sitting at the end of the bench confirmed it was him ( it was his girlfriend). I asked why he did it - she said he loved basketball and he found it relaxing ref'ing the lower levels.

At least side show brown doesn't sook it up when he doesnt get a free kick, puts in second and third efforts.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
