As others have pointed out... rubbish. 11 out injured plus adding Viney, Knuckles Bugg and maybe Tyson means we are just spread thin.

Its disappointing the Ks haven't stepped up but it is what it is.

Blues are really taking it to Crows, Blues top line in ballers are real quality and we are in for a tough assignment.

I can't see us beating Carlton. Especially if Tyson and Viney are both out.

We could lose our next 4 and be outside the 8 quite easily.

Bit of a disaster the injury list!

Exactly, and it's not like the injuries are to our bottom 6-10 players, it's all our top line talent.

Is surgery the usual treatment for plantar fasciitis?

Something else?  FCS I hope it isn't something boney

Very very low bar to clear.

The doc said that to get relief from the pain they will have to make an incision; and by that he said they they cut across it, and the pain is gone. But he didn't say any thing else about it, so not to sure if they just let heal,i'm sure they would have to stitch it or something?

We don't need Dees players necking themselves in the VFL , the way things are going , they are going to be needed when it matters a lot more with our players dropping like flies !

Ugly all right - few of the Casey boys didn't see much leather in a 65 point loss.

Port are a top side but this is very much out of character for a Justin Plapp team.

When you have a dozen or so out, yes, there aren't many left. If you're looking for the best 4 or 5 Casey players you'll find them in the firsts.

If you look at his posting history so far you'll find that @Elegt is obsessed with the notion that our depth is total rubbish.  He can't fathom how some of that depth has already helped us to multiple wins this year, but you can't talk sense to a muppet.

Trengove played but was didn't really dynamically impact play. He was directing players where to go and marshalling down back. He did some OK things.  I don't know if he realises his cards are marked and plays accordingly.....

JKH was ok and generally classy in what he did so would probably be under consideration. Joel Smith got better as the game went on, but I guess it depends on how the FD see his game if he gets promoted. Ben Kennedy tried hard but turned it over a few times, Weideman went into the ruck at times late in the game and got involved in some good passages of play.

The general delivery around the ground was very poor and Casey got punished for a lot of them.

Old boy Lucas Cook had a good game I thought down back for Port.

Really hard to find good players.

Lots of those possessions were handballs to players in trouble. We constantly turned back into traffic.

Spencer does absolutely nothing around the ground. Almost missed a stand alone chest mark. Overhead he is missing them.

Would love to say the weed had a good game but it was average save for two forward fifty marksthat he did not convert

A few of the boys, Frost, Nibbler, Stretch, Oliver, harmes and White watching.

speed wise JKH, Kent and Smith were the only dangerous looking players today. Kennedy was in and under a bit.....but there was absolutely no outside run. JKH could win a hard ball, take on 3 and due be ready to release but no one streamed past. Disposal was aweful, Port played us like the Swans last night, shut down run.

big Spence gave us nothing, frustrated himself by dropping a contested grab 10 metres out in the third, just should have held it.

Weed looked ok, attacked the footy and rucked with good elevation late, but I'd leave him at Casey.

I would be happy to see JKH and Smith if deemed ready. maybe Kent, at least he chased down a few players today.

I went to the game and agree with this comment.  He was doing team things, directing traffic but couldn't impact much at half back the way the game was played.  You would think they would have thrown him into the middle to lead from the contest, but they didn't.

Interesting social outing going to the VFL

Port supporters were in the main another generation and very vocal. Will be interesting to see how they manage the continued decline of the VFL comp.

A strange thing today was that the Grand Old Flag is Port's team song as well. It was played for them when they ran onto the ground but we got nothing. Understandable... it is their song and their comp but perhaps it was a fore runner to the game where we got nothing as well.

I noticed in the huddles Plapp talks sometimes about the "money ball." It was even on the coaches board at 3/4 time. Does anyone know what that means.

Our depth is amazing. only 4-5 players on the list you wouldn't trust to present well in the AFL.

Our injury list is what's important.

I'll name all the players who would struggle to make a contest in afl: jkh, trengove, Mitch King, hullet, garland when fit, Kent, Wagner, Mitch white

I'll leave weideman off because he is developing but King hullet and White have showed no signs of afl standard by comparison

thats 8 right there.

Name a side, other than GWS, that has it better off than us.
