Great idea but suspect there would be little incentive without access to finals tickets

Absolutely. Make them cheap. Fill seats at The G and have new Blood on the Members Data Base for next season and Beyond.

Yeah it would need to be at a good price, otherwise people will just pay on the gate if they go.

seems there is no 3 game membership on offer yet (at least i couldn't find one)

seem to remember 3 gamers are usually about $99 and includes newsletters, scarf etc. they often offer a cheap deal for reserved seats as an extra as they have plenty left over.

Our Home Ground has 100,000 seats last time i checked

Access to finals can be factored in, this is when little 6-7 year old kids can become lifetime Demons.

I just hope the club is proactive this week.

Good to see the Club has it rolling but they should be more expansive on the website in promoting what the "3-game membership " offers. Basically, all it says is that it entitles you to get in to three of the four remaining home matches at the G (for only $2.55 per week)! What it doesn't promote is a free scarf, e-newsletter, New Balance discounts, etc.

Anybody taking this offer up is unlikely to already have a MFC jumper so a thousand new scarf-wearing members in the stands would make an impact for the remaining games!

I don't want to get too far ahead or jinx us BUT I'm interested in how finals tickets work, guessing none of us really know seeing it's probably changed in the last 10 years but should I be buying my mrs a 3 game memebership (do they get guaranteed finals tickets ?) so she will get tickets with me come September or will you be able to buy a GA ticket in the same area as my membership ticket...

Basically with a membership you will get finals tickets up to and including the Preliminary finals. The priority is that you can buy the day before they are available for general release. Lead up finals are rarely sold out these days.

For the GF.... forget it

For this year after an increase the number of tickets available for each competing club is 17,000

At 40.000 members and growing you don't have much chance unless you have paid for a membership that guarantees you a GF ticket.

I don't know the number generally available to "ordinary" members but I suspect that after they have been pre-allocated the figure might be 7,000 but no more

40k members includes about 5k who are AFL members and those who also take up the MCC/MFC membership so the odds may even out somewhat

I sent off an email earlier and just got this in response ...

____________

We are about to launch a three-game discounted membership for people who are yet to join as well as an upgrade for only $70 to those who have accessed 2 or 3 of their games.

All access members have the opportunity to purchase tickets to weeks 1-3 of finals and we are offering MFC/MCC members the opportunity to join and receive a barcode for finals tickets.

For juniors, we are offering a Demon Buddy where they nominate a junior who has never been a member to receive a free junior membership.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
