Sometimes what I hear does not eventuate. So what! This is not embarrassing, I am not embarrassed.

What's embarrassing is you spent 12 paragraphs to say I think GNF is full of BS.

You are entitled to your opinion.

I hope Benken comes in. Real mongrel in him and can snag a goal.

JKH can blitz all he wants at VFL, but he has had multiple chances already this year and was average at best each and every time. Would need to tear the door down to get back in the team for mine.

Agree totally!

Well picked PF.

Stretch and Gawn the ins. Watts and Jones out.

I think it's a mistake. But I get the thinking. Stretch will run all day. Maybe alongside Gaff.

mmmmmmmm

few of us picked Stretch as the in despite all of us hoping he made it back

Goes to show that its not just numbers of possessions at VFL level that is the determinant. Stretch has done okay at VFL level but he hasn't set the world alight.

Good luck Billy

See the Weed, Wagner and Ben Ken have been named as emergencies so I assume they wont be playing against Box Hill on Saturday afternoon

Now Dappa, It aint and should never be poster v poster! And I know that you are just as passionate as I !

Good thing is some also massive outs for the weagles.

If this team carries some inner belief ( Similar to that of the team in 87 leading up to finals) then no reason that we should not be looking very very positivly on this weeks or even next weeks or the week after etc, etc

Good teams become great teams by covering loses well and MARCHING ONWARD AND UPWARD!

I'm very confident! GO DEES!

No of course not... but credit where credit's due. What kind of MFC supporters are we if we can't doff our tweed caps at a fellow supporter's insight?

Is Weed the only tall we have left on the list that's played at AFL level? You'd assume him and Wags would go over.

He has admitted, numerous times, to baiting others on purpose. Why anyone defends him is beyond me.

I don't know that anyone's defending him per se. But people are defending his right to do/say what he wants - whether or not anyone likes it.

The only thing I don't get in all this, is why people keep engaging with someone who they don't want to engage with. Just block him. Problem solved.

Ordinarily this is the case but I think another possible change might be made.due to injury! Take three and cover all bases, stuff Casey!

Hard to see what more he can do to set the world alight when the coach describes him as 'the pick of the players'.

just going on what I have seen at the last two Casey matches I attended

Perhaps he was lost in the fog of the outer wing last week

Far as I can tell Billy went back to develop his inside game to compliment his outside skills and natural nouse...

hopefully he has a cracker over in the West.

It couldn't conceivably have eventuated, because he hadn't even returned to full training.  He still hasn't 3 weeks later.

And you couldn't possibly have been told what you stated you were told, because no-one at the club in the know, repeat no-one, would have suggested he was playing, because they knew he wouldn't be.

Not only did you lie, you showed a lack of intelligence to even run with the story.  But that's what happens when you're living a lie on a forum.

Hopefully everyone can see now that GNF just plays the odds. There are plenty of us that identified this as far back as when he claimed the inside word on the Roos appointment, though nobody has so comprehensively torn him apart as you have that I can recall.

I'm liking Gawn and Stretch in already. Stretch gives us outside speed and run and Gawn, well... enough said.

Keep up the relentless midfield pressure and we might just snag this one.

Kent has had a solid couple of weeks now and I can easily see him coming in to provide more pressure in our forward half.

I am curious what Kent's role back at Casey. It doesn't look like goal kicking is part of his remit. Kent kicked 0 goals in Rd 7, 2 goals in Rd 8 and 0 goals in Rd 9. He has had 13 tackles in 3 weeks.

The reports say that is winning the ball around stoppages and providing pressure - something he wasn't doing at senior level. I'd be interested in someone who has watched him can report.

IMO the most frustrating player on our list. Has all the talent but has been next to useless,

Plapp's reports

Rd 7 v Coburg Dean Kent: He had 25 disposals, seven inside 50s and five tackles. Dean was a pretty prolific ball-winner for us on the weekend. He was used in a number of different roles and was able to use his power and speed, particularly around stoppages. He was able to get the ball going forward for us, but probably wasted a couple of opportunities in front of goal – and he’s shown us that he’s able to kick goals. Kenty showed some pretty positive signs on the weekend

Rd 8 v Coll Dean Kent: Dean had 22 disposals, including 10 contested possessions, six tackles, five inside 50s and kicked 2.1. He continues to build. His ability to put the opposition under pressure was a highlight on the weekend, particularly his tackling. His ability to go and win the ball and find the ball was quite prominent. He missed a couple of opportunities, but we think his game is in pretty good shape at the moment. He’s got some clear areas that he’s working on, but he’s certainly building.

Rd 9 v Footscray Dean Kent: He had 27 disposals, including 10 contested possessions, two tackles and six inside 50s. Dean continues to play at a consistent level in the VFL. I thought his work around the contest and his ability to really open the ground up with his leg speed was a highlight for him. He’s in a pretty good space at the moment.

Your very quick to label someone a liar, something that I find very distasteful. Here's a question for your all knowing knowledge,  l was also given the same information by someone who would have no idea of GNF or anyone else on this forum, a former player of the club. Now that story was being put about from some source, how do you explain that?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
