Who are you seeing frankie?

Some old German bloke. Beethoven. Nippy small forward. Plenty of tricks. Hard to tag.

The umpiring shifted momentum. Going to be hard to swing it back. Crows putting the foot on the gas. We look second rate...

Floods gates are leaking.

Wanted Hannan dropped from the start. 0 disposal so far.

22 inside 50's to 9.

tells it all right there.

Tough for the forwards though dazzle.  We aren't getting it down there much, although admittedly when we do we are not putting enough pressure on at the drop of the ball.

Why did Lewis not kick for goal - instead goes another high risk handball in our fwd 50 and we turn it over

Any chance we can stop bombing it inside 50.

Our forwards have no chance.

Lewis was 5 m in the clear but handballed to someone who was 2

Nobody wants to take responsibility

always an MFC problem...

At this point, I can’t see where our next goal will come from at all. Massive smashing coming up.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
