Non MFC Games Round 7

Just watched the whole replay (I was out tonight) and absolutely no doubt that was a deliberate out of bounds. Still 23 seconds left on the clock. He practically rugby passed it over the line. Hilarious though. Gee, we let one slip losing to those mugs, even two down for much of the game. They're just pretenders.

Ha.

Incidentally, I used to work with his old man Grahame who played late 70s / early 80s. He's had 3 knee recos since finishing footy and still working as a store man in his late 60's; tough bugger.

I would quiz him all the time about his and Lance's time at Carlton but he was reluctant to talk about it. I think the club ended both of their relationships poorly from what I gathered....

And a gnarly looking bloke who gave his son all his 'bagger' looks. I used to give him shlt and say he had the face of a chewed up Mintie. He would retort with 'Melbourne supporter'. Touché.

The deliberate was there, blatant hit over the line to reset with a throw in.  Doesn't matter what part of the ground.

It irks me that I was one of the lone voices on another forum that agreed with the deliberate against Kersten in our game against Freo. He was blatantly going for a throw in as that was the best option to congest a throw in and the only realistic one for Freo with our defenders going to get it if it kept in and the way he bombed it forward was nowhere near an attempt at goal. People just have an obsession with the deliberate rule right now not being the way it was 10 years ago where you could take it out of bounds professionally.

Lance made a habit of sitting in the gutter outside the Broady Tab,smoking cigs in his trackies I am told.

That and the extra 15 kegs he was carrying might have been too much for the Carlton hierarchy.

As a complete side note after reading the Carlton/Collingwood match report, I was pondering the etymology of the nickname 'Blue Baggers'.

A google search came up with:

noun

  • a person who is so ugly that one would have to put a bag over their head (so as to hide their face) before considering having intercourse with them. See also double-bagger.
That girl I met at the club was a total bagger.

Can anyone shed further light on this important matter?

I think it's because they are scum and trash, unworthy, deceitful, of low character, and unnatural, detested, brutish villains.

Not much connection with "blue" or "bags" but it's good enough explanation for me.

Doggies are going to struggle in the finals if they don't clean up their kicking.  They can't keep giving away leads like this and expect to overhaul them week after week.

Sheeeit I reckon their kicking was Ok !! If that true our inability to hit targets and turn it over must be catastrophic!!

Aliir Aliir has been withdrawn from the Swans line up due to missing a training session yesterday. Looks like there are reasons other than form for why he hasn't been getting a game this year if you read a bit more into it.

Yes may well be true. Franklin's payments increase now, for about the next 2-3 years

bucks is gone.

8th spot is us vs the saints

tipped the lions to beat the swans

the top 8 is so open, we can't afford to lose today, if we win today and take momentum into the crows game we might be a chance over there

Sadly, whoever wins the Freo Ess game will go above us on the ladder.

Just hope it isn't Ess.

Edit:  Thankfully Freo got it done in the last qtr - Freo 6.4.  Ess 0.1
