Gee as much as I love WEEDS he hasn't shown much to date! I would have gone with Pedo or Spencer at this stage!

WATTS  IN

sorry but can someone give me a run down on why Hannan is in the team.

Did he have a good JLT series etc etc

thanks... the question is genuine as I don't recall much mention of him other than in some posts as a possibility

I thought Kent looked pretty sharp in the VFL but he must need another game....good luck to Mitch and Joel!

He didn't play in the JLT.

Disappointed that Kent misses, but that's a good looking side.  Very strong across the ground and I'm excited to see how Hannan goes in the big time.

I like the combo of Hogan, Weideman and Watts with guys like Garlett and Petracca hanging around to snag a few goals.

Well thats cool we have them both

Yeah sorry jumped the fence early!!

Surprised Hannan is in ahead of Harmes.

Edit: And ANB.

No Tyson either. :\

Looks like a strong team on paper.

I'm surprised that Hannan is getting a run following his JLT performances, but good on him!

Feeling pumped now!

In fact Neal Bullen veeeerrry lucky hasn't done much that I have seen, would have preferred Kent EASY!!

Don't particularly like the inclusion of ANB as a forward

Who says he plays forward?  The inclusion of Hannan may see ANB spend most of his time through the midfield.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
