I'll go the early crow

Now apparently you have to earn $4.6 mill pa to know how to post a letter $1.7 mill pa to run the AFL!

I'm only a pensioner whose supported the MFC for 65 years but I'm prepared to go out on a limb here on the 18th February 2017.

We will be the 1st AFL club to achieve the triplicate premierships in the same year in the Seniors, Reserves & AFLW and it will be this year.

I urge every one of the latent supporters of old to get on board now, sign up for membership, ring Robbo #24 @ MFC and join the Foundation Heroes or the RDB Foundation right now or at least encourage any one you know who isn't on board yet this year to act now.

It's going to be too late later to say what a good job Roosy and PJ did.

Lets all support our club, boys and girls NOW!!!

Triplicate premiers? I would be happy if the seniors get just get it done before I turn 40!!!

We get some characters on this site!

Yep..no probs.  We got these ;)

@george_on_the_outer, you should've left in that totally random dig at me.  It was the most interesting part of the thread!

Must be a slow day if George is editing this thread. Did you run over punt kicks dog or something...?

I've got absolutely no idea, that's why I was so perplexed. Came from nowhere, as far as I know I've never encountered this guy before. I genuinely laughed out loud when I read it, hope George didn't delete it on my part.

I'd like that premiership, in triplicate, on my desk first thing in the morning!

Didn't the dogs get the triplicate last year albeit in the previous version of the women's competition?

I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone with all this positivity on Demonland.

Fails on a technicality.

Apart from the fact that a "triplicate" would require every one of the three prmierships to be identical in every way, what would that technicality be? ;)

The Women's game last year was not "technically" the AFLW League.

The idea of a triplicate reminds me of the old William McLelland Trophy. If I remember correctly it was awarded to the club with the most points awarded based on ladder position for the Seniors, Reserves and Under 19s, I recall one year (early 70s?) when Richmond were premiers in each of those competitions and I believe the under-17s as well.

It's alright, puntkick, the men in the white coats will be here soon...

McLachlan/Cotchin style?

I thought this thread was about eating the bird that's been a regular part of our diet.

Yeah we're gunna be ok.........but did anyone notice that the AFL have given GWS a champion team....no passengers....all guns......no one is gunna beat them for.......let's make some predictions   ...will they go 3 in a row?

The Achilles Heel for all interstate sides is playing the GF at the MCG unless playing another interstate side for the flag. I hope the AFL don't start giving them too many regular season games there.

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
