I'm also interested in different observations. I'm not interested in reading post after post detailing why someone's opinion is invalid. That's why it's called an opinion.

I've not ever met the poster to whom I think you refer. BUT I enjoy his insights - I just don't take them to be as arrogant as I suspect you may. He's a true Demon and I'm grateful for the reports/insights. I find them to be quite informative.

So what your saying is we can't reasonably discuss players strengths and weaknesses because we are mere mortals? Righto then.

Not saying that at all.

It was more a reply to the guys who give Saty a hard time for being soft on players like Trengove.

Anyway, what's 'reasonable"?

Also, in the end, what's there to discuss? These are the players the Demon hierarchy have chosen. Nothing we can do about that.

Also, I'm very sure that not one centimeter of our discussions will change anything. That's up to the coaches, fate, fortune and the luck of the draw.

That's just a little silly, dieter.  Nothing we discuss on here changes a thing.  It never has and probably never will.  But it's a discussion forum none the less and we'll discuss anything and everything.  It's the same on any discussion forum on the internet.

And I wouldn't give Saty a hard time for being soft on Trengove - it was the way in which he lumped everyone in a s'sheep' who 'bleat the same thing' all the time.  That's wrong and dismissive.  No one was personal, no one said they didn't want Trengove to make it etc.  Just that his speed, pace, whatever you want to call it, may be a hindrance to him getting back into the AFL side on a consistent basis.  Some discuss it better than others but it's still a valid discussion.  If he plays on a wing/half forward, will his lack of pace be exposed on the rebound, for example?

We may be wrong, and I hope I am, but it's still a valid discussion point.  We're not being critical or mean, we've just observed that this may be something that could hold him back in the short or long term.

Yes but not everyone agrees with your assessment of Trengove, it is you and a few others who can't seem to handle others having a different opinion

I like particulary your condescending approach, rip him to bits then say I hope he makes it    hilarious

Then we get a group bleat

I also get bored with posters continually telling they either have me on ignore or don't read my posts, yet I seem to get quoted by the same, now that's hypocrisy
