Is it me?

Flaps = spread wings

goats produce milk which can be turned into butter

the ocean is moist.

I'd love to dovetail the $cully theme (via Tom's orange sister) with @moistgoatflaps but i suspect that'd result in a D'land holiday...

I wished I hadn't opened this thread. My mind is racing now - I can't resist a good riddle.

More clues pretty please?

'Western Star' - Butter

'Eagles' - spreads wings

'Gaff' - type of sailing boat set up

Butter -  ( 'Western Star', or soft).

spreads, wings, -   ( midfield/winger, he flies )

yet remains ocean-bound  ( Freo > Eagles,,, or West coast to East coast  [ Swans or Cats #edit or GCSuns ] )

.... is it Fyfe, & we are involved, Re picks players or similar?

That's his mum? I thought it was a slightly slimmer version of his Dad with a few foils in his hair.

Cyril Rioli to Gold Coast.

There is a butterfly called the 'Cyril's Brown', he has a large set of wings as a tattoo on his chest, he also plays for the Hawks. Lots of butter and wings there.

Gold Coast as it is on the ocean and a deal has to happen to get O'Meara.

I hope it is as the Hawks supporters will riot if true.

I'm not a fan of Scully, but I find the posting of family photos, albeit public photos, in extremely poor taste.

The photo link is the HS website, and there's a very similar version on Foxsports.

Butter + wings = butterflies?

Surely d'land has a resident butterfly expert who can find a species name that is also a players name... :)

Got it, the Rockliff butterfly makes its home near the coast ( ocean ).

Dean Towers

ocean bound= Sydney

spreads his wings = Towers

butter = American chef Paula Deen is known for using massive amounts of butter in her recipes, and since there are four sticks of butter in a pound of butter, there are four pounds of butter in a Paula Deen of butter.

David Swallow, but I am unsure how spreading butter fits in.

The butter glides over the bread, like a swallow glides through the air

Maybe if David wanted to swallow Goliath he would need to spread butter over him first?

I'm clutching at straws now though :)

I'll play.

Spread butter - knife (like he knifed the crows in the back)

spread wings - crows and swans.

Ocean bound - contracted at Sydney.

Is Tippett the player you are talking about?

Great get with the clues, but I hope we don't go after Tippet. He's overpaid, overrated and under performs.

I suggest a whole fleet for Batman villains now to take over Demonland.
Come to think of it Saty could pass himself off as a pretty decent Deacon Blackfire.

Chad Wingard.

That would involve Port Adelaide participating in trade week. Don't be [censored] ridiculous.

I reckon the answer is Nev Jetta

butter wouldn't melt in his mouth

we're going to have a sea of experienced backline support next year

i can't remember the rest of the riddle, but am I right?

i thought moistgoatflaps was a great guess
