Keen to get the opinion of some of our WA Demons about the above named Key Defender from West Perth

Turns 21 early next year and was named in the WAFL team of the year at Full Back.  194cm & 91kg he seems to produce pretty good numbers (19 touches, 5 marks & 3 tackles a game), and from what I hear has good aerobic capacity.

In the likely event that Dunn is traded and with Garland''s poor form this year we wont have much depth in the key defensive steaks if one of T/O Mc or Frost go down.  Wonder if Keitel is the sort of guy worth looking at in the rookie draft to help bolster our stocks for this reason?

5 hours later and nil comments from our WA Demons, so not much light to shed.  Found some footage of his U18 year 2 years back.

Looks to have mainly been a forward back then who occasionally played back, but must have made a more permanent switch since playing seniors in the WAFL.  He looks a very good mark.

As I said, if Dunn is moved on, I think he could be worth a rookie spot, especially given he's already a good size.

I'm all for recruiting a project key defender now Hurley stayed with the scumbags.

Was a very good young athlete Javelin I think was his chosen event. Had a very good u18 championship being moved on many occasions from CHF to CHB to shore up defensive issues and prevent the FF & FB being isolated. Been good at  WAFL level but I place some questions on his pace and agility. Has filled the defensive gap at West Perth this season left by Marcus Adams being recruited. IMO just an okay footballer who hasn't progressed as expected. Rookie maybe but the best young defender coming out of WA this year is Josh Rotham

    Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded.     Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was.
