Jack Viney is one of 4 players to undergo post season surgery. Had an op on his hip, while TMac and Pedo both had shoulder surgery and VB had ankle surgery. 

Will keep Viney and TMac out of footy training until after Christmas

Viney did not require anesthetic but they had to call for a chainsaw to perform the operation. The surgeon is recovering in Epworth and is expected to make a full recovery. The chainsaw did not survive.

Viney was clearly carrying an injury from the Port game onwards. I'm not saying it in hindsight i have said it in other threads previously.

Given he has played with a broken leg and severely broken hand previously i am guessing this injury was decent given the effect on his output.

Any indication he's shown up at the Club yet?  There's media coverage re the bods at Essendon, St Kilda & Port, but nothing about our boy.  Would have hoped he was keen to put in an appearance and hit the ground running.  Anyone heard anything?

Wrong thread Vagg but anyway Goodwin said today in his press conference he expects Melksham to be back at the club within the next few days.

Tom Mac also has had shoulder surgery to fix a "persistent compaint"

AVB has also been under the knife to fix his ankle problem..

Noticed that he also came in 5th in MVP Most Courageous Players as well - Well done Jack and a speedy recovery. Didn't he say in his acceptance speech that he was heading to Bali the day after the "Bluey Award"?? - Go Jack!!
