And I also enjoy a sport which is tough..................

..............................takes skill......................

..........endurance.................................courage.................

........................and..................................................

................................................most of all..................

..................brains :D to play.

I don't care about playing other countries, only Collingwood. :D

They have endurance...courage and brains. All sports require this. Im talking union not leigue. At least there is no complaining about collingwoods draw each year...which annoys me too but i have gotten over it.

Any chance that Fox Sportz 3 will be showing replays of each game during the week.

They've already hinted that they'll be showing 'On the Couch' and for some strange reason they are currently showing games from 2005 (albeit at midnight).

This would be a major win for Foxtel subscribers!

Would they have to play channel 7/10 for the privelage?

Please don't tell me we'll be only seeing 5 minute highlight packages on the news and sport channels :(

I imagine that the only way full Footy matches will be shown on Foxtel is if Foxtel (and PBL) conceede to 7 and 10's terms, and i can't see that happening.

Foxtel having been gunning for the same price, but more games. At first i thought they'd succeed but it looks like 7 and 10 are going to make sure they get the price that THEY want.

Foxtel on the other hand are saying that while they'd love to have the Football, if 7 and 10 want to go it alone then Foxtel (and PBL) want to see them do it. Let's not forget that 7 have bought the rights to the V8's as well.

I'm not going to be happy about it if it's just going to be FTA because i have foxtel, but as long as i get to see the interstate games that Melbourne are involved in live then i don't mind.

With 10 and 7 showing each game each round for the next 5 years...i am very happy. *edited by Fan. Inappropriate comment*.

Yep.

So no chance at this stage.

I actually have a feeling 7 and 10 will relent and a deal will be done - ironically the V8 Supercar deal is actually 7's biggest hurdle. The component in the deal that stipulates that the V8's have to go live ruins 7's Sunday afternoon, which they need to get all games to air.

Tings too do.

1. repair spill cheeker.

What about Austar, was that cool? Are we laughing at them to?

Anyway, the thing that worries me with 8 games on FTA is the quality of the coverage. Will the networks be spreading themselves to thin? There is only so much talent a station can keep on their books. If 7 are over the barrel with the V8's, where are they going to cut corners? A call team of Tim Gossage and that McDermott clown from Adelaide.....shudders.

I hope your still smiling when games 5 to 8 are shown after midnight in a highlights package only

How the HELL is that EVER going to happen when ALL F^&%*$ games are going LIVE TO AIR

Go Dees - so long as the footy is on the telly I don't care who is broadcasting and calling it. :)

It looks like Foxtel is now out of the equation and I think it's time to make decisions about retaining it in the future.

What are the benefits if any?

And joy for thoes with free to air knowing there is no upper class people in the society now. Lol very happy man. Foxtel is overrated...a waste of time and money...even in summer season on free to air.

And be sure to enjoy all those 1:00am 60 minute replays because channel 7 couldn't be bothered showing them at a family friendly hour.

There is a reason why channel 7 and 10 prefer not to show 4 games each for the weekend.

Footy on TV is officially back to the dark ages.

Haha are u the same person that wrote this earlier in the topic and someone ansered it by saying "How would that happen if they are to show each game live". Good try to make me feel bad, but it doesent work and to be honest ild b happy to watch footy then (as long as 8 games are shown).

Sports should be free for ALL to see, Not thoes who can just afford it...or happy to waste their money on it

I'd be stoked too if I didn't have to pay $60 per month, while getting 8 games for free. Good luck to you!

It's called extreme bitterness that I along with thousands of Pay TV subscribing footy fans are going through.

I don't trust channel 7 here. I just don't believe they'll put in the dedication that Fox Footy put into the game. Ie- shafting games to the middle of the night in preference to a Rugby game, V8 supercars or a re-run of the 'Sound of Music' or some crap like that on a Saturday night.

For example can we be 100% totally assured that Freo V Melbourne in rd 21 will be shown live on channel 7 on the Saturday afternoon? I know Fox Footy would've shown it!

What the 2 cameras. the ordinary biased commintators who are worse than Robert Walls. Missing out on alot.

I think everyone can afford pay tv, but thoes on a low income wouldnt wanna waste $60 on garbage. I never wanted fox as its a complete waste of $60...better spent at the pub.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
