Around The Grounds - Round 13

Dont hate me, but I actually like North's Guernsey (their old Guernsey). I really like it.

So who's ready to bathe in the dulcet tones of the Channel 7 commentary team?

Dont mind seeing North trying to bully the Hawks. Need to beat them in the scoreboard too though

Is North's Wagner related to ours?

They look exactly the same!

North are showing how to play against Hawthorn. Hit them back, pressure their ball carrier and close down their midfield space.

But the biggest one is- kick the goals when you get the chance!! Should be 5 goals up on that, I can only assume that Hawthorn regroup and come back. The reason we kept so much pressure on them is because we are super accurate 2 weeks ago.

My favorite so far, the scuffle at quarter time.

Bruce "well we know Cyril can fight"

I hate Linsay Thomas more than any other player playing the game right now.

Such a [censored]!!!

Yet, it was adjudicator No 25 who provoked the abuse that got the 50 meters against Thomas - unbelievably appalling decision for the high contact on Gibson. Thomas had every reason to scream "why".

His bias (they call him bruce) is tedious

Zero disposals to Daw in the first half.

But if dropped marks were the kpi he would keep Dawes outta the team.

At least Dawes brings pressure, intensity and second efforts. When majak doesn't have the ball, he is a daw stop.

Is the Herald sun hiring? I write my own material.

And has completely spudded up many opportunities. Makes Gillies look like a footballer. Looks like Tarzan, plays worse than cheetah (his pet chimpanzee for those young uns who don't know Tarzan properly)...... Obviously can't say plays like Jane now - we may well have a Jane or 2 play next year that are deadest awesome!

God I dislike Hawks, tough guys and cheap shots until it happens to them then they act like they have been shot. Staging for frees.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
