Jones - continuing outstanding form

Vince - needed the responsibility

Hogan -- was comprehensively outplayed

Watts - great first half

Petracca - couldn't get involved

Dawes - contested without influencing

Trengove - an unmemorable return

Gawn - tap outs only

Tyson - enjoyed more responsibility

Oliver - should kick more

Stretch - couldn't hurt opposition

Kent - devoid of confidence

Frost - strong in defence

T. McDonald - terrific second half

O.McDonald - gradually gaining confidence

Hunt - energetic but rough

Bugg -. Important tagging job

Garlett - continued to disappoint

vandenBerg - obviously lacked energy

Jetta - steady but unobtrusive

Wagner - stuck to task

Harmes - needs a rest

We were pretty much level at three quarter time with the reigning Premiers. We still had a chance 15 minutes from full time...but your summary only includes 9 positive contributions. I rest my case.

Dawes:  flat hands, can't mark, not the future

Did you take notice of the conditions?

I knew someone would say this. No difference with conditions for Dawes. Ask any magpie fan who used to watch. Same issue there.

I'll give him the benefit of playing at least a couple of games in dry conditions.

Petracca- 89 Supercoach Points

Is that good?

Rockcliff scored 204 from 48 disposals. 89 is probably above average but not that great

Except that marking has never been his strong suit even in the the dry

He did make an effort and played ok for his first game back

Yes but 89 is well above "couldn't get involved".

Garlett: out if wet.

Harmes: don't come Monday

Hogan: Learn to tackle. Or. Devoid of (defensive) effort

Tmac: Terrible below knees.

Vince: cracking game. But also, Does stupid hits

Oliver: Cleanest hands ever

Jones: cheap handball receives. (Needs to bloody stop this again, he was much better when he stopped asking for these cheapies)

Petracca: believe in yourself

Gawn: what has happened?

Your Dawes description describes his whole career

Kent doesn't lack confidence, he lacks effort. He can [censored] off

there was nothing unmemorable about Trenners, just to run into the field was special. His performance was promising

And you take them on trust and have a football brain hmmmmmm

One thing I will say after watching the replay. I reckon there was a lot of sore Hawks players after the game. We may not have won. But we belted them (fairly) almost every time we could.

We were very tough, hard and aggressive against the masters of that sort of footy.  They were hurting at the end of the game.

He is 208cm and it was pelting rain, fair go

Petracca got involved, just didn't hit up targets often enough

Oliver and brayshaw wish they had CP skills and speed but they are much better footballers.

CP Needs to make better decisions and execute under pressure.

Um, he's played 5 games or something. Honestly, this is absurd.

Yep, and still lost.

Trengove was inspirational on the mcc members wing side, city end. 2 against one. Ran through one and mowed down the other to get it out of bounds.

We are better with him in the side.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
