Usually agree with most of yours joe, but there's a bunch that seem way off today, did you go to the game?

21 disposals at 86% Efficiency...

Selection justified if you ask me...

Tried his guts out all day and if he gets dropped after that I would be pi55ed

Harmes - looked for frees

This is a major component of his game that needs to be stamped out very quickly, he does like to sook doesn't he!

Maybe if his performance warranted paying attention to, then he might have got some (back to Casey for him).

As for Tom McDonald - Showed true self.

He is massively overrated - on here, by the footy department and by himself. A brainless one-legged man would be a better kick and decision maker than him. We desperately need to find a quality KPD if our backline is to improve. Try and entice Hurley across to be the linchpin of our defence. McDonald would be a much improved player as 2nd/3rd KPD.

OLIVER   POOR NON SELECTION

I'm sorry fence, but i doubt a 4 game, first-year player would've made any difference.

Most ... weak as

If I owned a demolition business I would demolish that [censored] shithole of a stadium tonight.

Midfield - learn defensive spread.

Defensive coach Rawlings - poor defensive instructions

Half back line - annihilated by pace.

Harmes - an absolute shocker

Hunt - fumbly and weak

Wagner - flaws on display

Lamumba - just so poor

Dunn - Agree with above

TMac - Timid, tired play

Gawn - met his match

MFC - ahead of themselves

God that was a bad look. Most of the time he was fairly bumped off the ball too.

It wasn't as bad as when McDonald got bumped in the third quarter near the boundary line.

Agree with most of this - but Watts was average and Kennedy was ok.. didn't think he looked slow at all?

Hogan, Viney and Jones are the only ones who can hold their head ups after today's performance.

Hickey dominated Gawn in the NAB game as well.

I had a feeling Gawn was in for a poor game.

take 80% said on these forums as shyte, some 'supporters' like to kick the same players week after week, Bugg was ok today

They broke even.

And Joeboy, Watts was hopeless.  He was back to the non-competitive version.

What a miserable effort after the last 3 weeks playing good tough footy, they outrun us, out marked us, worked harder and played smarter?? a number of their faster types can run flat out and still deliver the ball accurately? We lacked speed and footy smarts!!

hogan - he's a freak

nathan jones - played like cotchin

salem - absent, then concussed

watts - excellent second efforts

petracca - started very nervously

viney - the new sellwood

lumumba - offers no leadership

gawn - beaten around ground

tyson - good last quarter

dunn - offered little coverage

kent - a barry crocker

frost - where'd he go?

pedersen - embarrassing and inept

vince - on media street

tom mcdonald - looked very slow

hunt - overwhelmed and exposed

bugg - no celebrations again

kennedy - ineffectual and underwhelming

garlett - chocolates to carab

jetta - exposed too often

wagner - can't defend individually

harmes - was he playing?

Who beat Gawn around the ground ?  Hickey took one mark for the day.

watching from level 3, hickey was very effective around the ground i thought. didn't mark it but also didn't allow gawn to impact the way he has in recent weeks.

hickey drew even with him i thought.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
