Fire away.

Bang, bang!

Obviously a few were down today - Frost, after kicking a couple, was barely sighted.  Hunt was poor as well.  Do they make a statement and drop, say, Dean Kent?  Is Salem due for a run in the ressies?

Any of ANB, Trengove, Grimes and Oliver may get a look in next week.

Won't drop Bugg or Dunn yet

Harmes had a stinker today as well. So many looked off the pace.

out: Frost, Harmes, Bugg, Wagner

in: Garland, Oliver, ANB, M. Jones

Too many players have don't-turn-up games every so often. Kent being the main offender.

Apart from him, Harmes, Hunt, Dunn would be feeling the heat. Wagner might be safe, but wouldn't want to play too many games like today - though half the team are in that boat.

Frost stays until Dawes or Weidemann are ready.

If I were Paul Roos, I would be starting his presser today with a call to arms for all Casey players tomorrow. You have a blinder against Essendon, you'll be in the team next week. Have them thirsty for blood and ingrain the culture of pressuring the seniors to perform.

Send a message to the marshmallows who didn't show up today at Etihad that you lose your place.

Fair call, Harmes should be out instead of him.

Agree.  You were very harsh on Bugg mate, many worse than him.

Salem,  Hunt,  Harmes probably need a rest, maybe Kent too

Out Salem, Hunt, Harmes, Kent

In Oliver, Brayshaw,  ANB,  Grimes

Out: Harmes, Wagner, Hunt, Frost

Salem may miss from concussion?

On notice: Kent, McDonald, Lumumba

In: ANB, Oliver, and anyone who plays well at Casey

Harmes has a corkie. Probably restricted his run today. Salem failed his concussion test.

Would not drop Hunt. Really like him. Wagner and Harmes.

Out: Wagner, Harmes, Frost

In: Oliver, ANB, Brayshaw

Swap Dunn and Pederson. Dunn is less of a liability up forward.

Suggestion anyone to be promoted based on a VFL game that hasn't began is a bit weird, yet I do agree someone must pay the price. Remember we can't expect the Dees to win 3 in a row no matter how easy the draw is. Any expectation would be considered un demon like. We need another good round of draft picks at year's end probably expercienced players.

Trenners and ANB have earned a spot, will,  be interesting to see how they go tomorrow

Out: Hunt and Harmes (cork)

In: ANB and Oliver

Possibly Trengove for Salem if he doesn't get up

After such a poor performance, I'm very confident about next week. Seriously.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the mantra during Roos' tenure. Though i wouldn't say i'm confident. The Saints exposed our lack of pace, what do you think GC will do?

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
