GAMEDAY - Round 6

Featured Replies

No excuse for tiredness. The saints played last Sunday also. Shoul be equally tired.

Really important second half coming up here...

Hate to see the media next week if Hogan kicks 8-10 goals in a bad loss

Pathetic. So many here called for either no change or for Petracca to be included.

Also I feel like until the day that I die Reiwoldt and Harvey will haunt my dreams. We are incapable of playing against these guys no matter how old they get.

He would be far less effective if they just stuck a key defender on him and kept them there! Jetta is not a matchup for Riewoldt, so I've got no idea what the hell Rawlings is doing.

Would love to see Viney crunch Riewoldt in a huge tackle and the tears to start flowing....

Would be beautiful to see...

We look so tired. I can't see us pulling this out. I think it's a positive that we're even in it the way some of the boys are getting around.

It's Tracks first game FFS! i thought he's been okay.

I still think if we clean our game up we will win this by a couple of goals.

How does a third man up at a boundary throw in, smashing it over the boundary line, not get called as deliberate??

We are compinacentinon and off the field this week.

So risky playing gner Hunt and Harmes down b. ack. No experience and running out of legs. I mean I know everyone on here hates them and they're unfashionable, but we have two seasoned defenders in the VFL in Garland and Grimes. At least they'll give a defensive contest and won't run out of steam at half time.

Add to this Petracca who isn't even ready and was pushed ahead of guys like ANB who has been smashing the door down at Casey.

I thought we were done with this [censored] development mode and that we are now trying to win games. I hope like hell that we start winning the clearances or we are truly [censored].

Saints were 6th next behind us at 5th In clearances till last week so this game was always gonna be close, especially with only 5 day break and home game at the Saints home ground. Shld have played Clarry for Ben Ken IMO. One extra Mid field rotation.

Trying to have faith but the frost miss 20 sec later StK goal...FMD

Needed that! need Watts to have a big second half!

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
