*STRONG RUMOUR*

There will be more teeth, on average, in the mouths of Melbourne supporters today!

I can confirm this, there are 14 teeth in the entire collingwood membership base and a shocking 9% employment.

It's not the unemployment figure that shocks me....

It's the fact there are actually still 14 teeth remaining!

Last week the scoreline was bad but our contested footy and stoppage work in the first quarter was pretty good...just sayin....

Whilst I didn't see the game I agree. Though I do hope we get off to quick start today.

Cant wait.

A book is something Melbourne supporters read but to a Collongwood Fan it's usually something that gets thrown at them.

Ditto to all the above posts that predict a win if we play like we did in Hobart.  Unfortunately, recent history shows that it's not the Melbourne way to be 'up' for two games in a row, and today I'm as nervous as I was before my dental visits 60 years ago. Oh how I dream of a return to the days when we are 2%, off our best and still get the points.

Assume we will be in the white clash jumper since Collingwood is black and white....

I get sick of the negativity   I often wonder why some even bother to support the team if it brings them so much misery,  that being said the biggest pontificators after a game usually haven"t even watched it     they just whinge because that is their raison d"etre

People vent because they care - it's easy to do on here to get it off your chest. It's better than kicking the cat ;)

Morning Stu,

Sometimes I have to rely on what I read after the game, a burden of working crap hours.

Goldsack a late out and White a late replacement from outside emergencies.

That's a bit strange.

If they bring in a forward/ruck from outside the emergencies, when they have uplifted a giant, who plays forward/ruck and he is an emergency.

Interesting to see where they play him. He's been playing in defence in VFL from memory and with Cloke, Moore and Howe forward I can't see him playing there. They'll use him to double-team/cut in front of Hogan hopefully our players make him accountable.

If I get a leave pass, I'll be watching from the Roppongi Hobgoblin, a pub in Tokyo.

I'm not greatly confident (because we always seem to play teams in crisis after an upset defeat) but let's see ...

Jack I watched our round 1 win vs the Suns there last year. It was a fun experience. Hope you keep the 100% record in tact.

White will play in defence as is his new role that sees him playing better than ever in the vfl . Pies capitulated last year and havnt recovered. Ordianary team who beat an ordianary richmond team so hopefully we turn up to play no excuses.

Anyone else having trouble with the SEN app. Can't "listen live", until a game is on and I can go through the AFL game day app.

I had consistent problems with the SEN app so I use 'myTuner Radio' app. Works perfectly.

Things I want to see today:

1) Lynden Dunn going straight to Travis Cloke. For some unknown reason, coaches from Dean Bailey to Paul Roos last year have always seemed to play rangy athletic types on Clokey (Tommy McDonald and Jared Rivers come to mind) despite us having gorillas like Chip Frawley and Lynden Dunn in the team. Get Dunny on Cloke from the first siren.

2) Whether I get it or not is a different matter but intensity from the opening bounce. Today is a test of who we are. I just saw Campbell Brown (of all people) yesterday sum up what the boys are wont to do. They put in a good showing, listen to all the backslappers tell them how good they are and then come out and play like millionaires. I don't accept that we haven't improved as some (WYL, I'm looking in your direction) have stated. However, for us to take the next step, we need to win games like this.

3) If we DO win, no rapturous displays of excitement. This is related to item two. Whenever we win a game, no matter how inconsequential, the players carry on like pillocks as though they have just won the granny by 1 point against Hawthorn. This is a distinctly Melbourne thing as I remember Jared Rivers being quoted in an interview that his new Geelong teammates pulled him aside after they beat the Hawks in round 1 2013 to tell him to the settle f*** down, so overboard did he go.
We win, we high five, shake the opposition's hands then go sing the song. No theatrics.

Pretty sure this is because of the broadcast rights. If you want to listen to SEN via internet you need to do it through the AFL app. Which is an issue because there is a delay when you listen live at the game of about 1 minute - best option is to take a pocket radio (got one at Kmart for $12).
