To add to that, the replay of the Scorps shows ANB is trying hard but he hardly inspired massive confidence, I think he will make it long term but I don't see him replacing anyone yet. Possibly when Oliver needs a rest then he can prove his worth. Another couple of weeks of high possessions and more importantly quality possessions before you reward the kid. Petracca clearly still a week or two away but showing plenty. Wiedemann to get a look in 2nd half of the year

I think theres a chance Petracca does come in and plays permanent forward alongside Hogan , with Watts spending more time in the midfield to help cover the loss of Bernie

Wagner - He made a terrific start to the game and was among our best in the first term, despite sitting on the bench for the first 7-8 minutes. Unfortunately Harvey got off on him a few times - which wasn't necessarily his fault because a couple of times he went to make a two on one, but ultimately if your opponents kicks six, you question whether a change is required.  But like Billy, I hope he gets another chance and if Howey play - could be his match-up.

Well if that is the case what the heck were the FD Thinking?? Wganer 1st gamer on Harvey. the obviuos mismatch height wise was worrying, then add the speed factor.theis adds to a major mismatch.

I thought Wgner did orright and he stays for another week or two. Still have some misgivings but lets see how it pans out!

although we'll miss Vince. collingwood are without Elliot and Swan which are two of their best

add to that Witts and Williams who are best 22.  and a ? over Varcoe. so they are certainly in worse shape than us injury wise.

Scharenberg also a loss for them.

Is Garlett a certain in? Minor ankle injuries can take a couple of weeks to get over.

I wouldn't bother listening to Dave "Mr personality" Misson anymore after he declared he was a certain starter last week. 

Isn't it intriguing when the media move the spotlight from club to club depending on outcomes from each weekend.......I guess that's part and parcel of AFL and has been for a while, but the media exposure pours it on as if they're looking for a kill. 

Despite Buckley having been re-signed or having passed go for a..... "Contract extension" (you know that arcade rally game where everytime you cross the finish line you get a "time extension!"), the heat is on at the Pies at 1-2 having been spruiked - and even spruiked themselves - as possible premiership contenders, looking to finish in the higher realms of the top 8.

Our Dees were the biggest losers at Round 2 and now face a backs-to-the-wall Pies outfit determined to click into gear. It's a big ask to get up each week, but the Dees must play at the standard they set themselves. Each. Week. 

Get passed Round 4 - and without wanting to look at weeks in advance - and it will no doubt be the same predicament - a severe focus on the "Contract extension" Dimma coached Tigers. Make no mistake, a Tigers outfit at 1-3 on Anzac Eve will be huge. Book early.....

we won't see Petracca or Trenners, ANB and Pedders should come in. I doubt weeds would come in either.

M. Jones was our fourth highest possession player (even if some went awry) . Bugg more likely to,lose his spot. Rather see Brayshaw ahead of Pedders.

Gawn played against Grundy and Witts last year in the round 18 clash and took them both to rhe cleaners.

Expecting Gawn to have a day out.

I am confident that if we had played Essendon on our "home ground" we would have whipped them. It was the 'away' guernsey which was our downfall. 

This looms as possibly our biggest match for the year, same for the pies. A loss to either team is disastrous, while a win gets the other back on track. Expect the Pies to come out absolutely firing in the first 10 minutes similar to the bombers, we wilted at this increased pressure last time but we have to match it and go beyond.

Brayshaw was underdone v Bombers, he will be ready to go this week. Garlett was expected to get up for the Kanags game according to Misso, if he isn't right for this week I will never believe another word that comes out of his mouth.

Harmes had a much improved performance on the weekend but still is not doing enough, and AVB missed a sitter and has had pretty low output for the first few rounds. These two I don't expect to be dropped but they are in the firing line once Petracca is good to go.

We're going to need some big performances this week, we have to bring what we had from the start of the 2nd quarter to this game. No more honourable losses, no more yoyo performances, get the bloody job done.

Severely doubt Tracc will play this week, and even if he did, Watts will not play midfield. His best games this year have been as the third tall in the forward line. IMO his worst games in the last few years have been in the midfield mix.

I noticed this when looking at the fixture a while back... I guess it doesnt mean all that much i mean hell a few years back we played our first 6/7 games ath the MCG then got shipped interstate the whole back half of the year. I like the idea of having a few more at home down the back half.

I like the idea of Petracca playing forward a bit when he comes in but maybe 2 or 3 more weeks. Watts on the other hand, I think he and Hogan are starting to get a bit of consistancy between them they both work so hard to get each other in the game (too hard in the 4th qtr sunday) . Watts is a 3rd tall playing the 2nd tall role atm (lets face it Frost is a decoy at best) and is doing a pretty good job (excluding rd 2 but hell Kennedy was the only decent player that week) Point is i think Watts needs to stay forward while it is working.

He's pretty sore apparently, i don't think Bucks will be keen to let him anywhere near Jack Viney so i'm pretty certain he will play half back. in which case i hope Hogan and Frost are instructed to put him to ground ( fairly ) every chance they get. 

I'd send Bugg to Treloar and try and limit his influence, outside him they don't have many match winners.
