Some people in the know would say Rebecca certainly qualifies alongside GL (if and when he returns) & to a degree SN. Some media has picked up on the fact that her now husband - Miller (Madderns 2nd marriage) - was once wed to her fellow work colleague/reporter/presenter Rahni Sadler, before Maddern had an affair with cameraman Miller allegedly away whilst working in LA on a story (work). Sadler was left heart broken with the breakup of her 12 month marriage.

It's also alleged Maddern's personal relationships since have become a little messy. This may help explain her move to Nine.

Apparently Maddern's new gig as co-host on TFS has Garry's blessing......

Helen Lovejoy, beautiful heiress to the Halibut millions, has been jilted at the altar by Villion de Paprikon, son of Louis XIV. Peter, Villion's Eton boating friend, has heard this, but being in Tibet has embarrassed Mary, his fiancée, who, being the only cousin of Sir Ray Ellington, has passed the title on to Baron Geldray, also heir to the Halibut millions. Now read on.

Please tell me you got you info from here.

Highlights (of the "writing") include:

"The couple tied the knot in March 2014 only even though Trent’s ex-wife Rahni Sadler had gone through broken heart phase after their split."

and:

"Rebecca’s personal relationships may have become a little messy after her second marriage but all that matter is that she is working very hard. Her net worth is not revealed to anyone. Her stunning figure and those white pearls, when she flashes, take away everybody’s breath."

I play squash on thursday and we discuss in gretaer depth the footy and other philosophical issues than I have seen on the footy show in years and we have more humour than Trevor Marmalade well

Saw bits of the show last night in between ads. (Squash break for school hols)

I reckon she might be brought in to provide the reason for taking off the air what is a tired and redundant format which is beaten hands down for footy content by Marngarook and for entertainment by anything.

I thought it was the second cousin of Sir Ray Ellington!

Great story.

I actually know this, and it used to bother me... but some reason I elected to stop swimming upstream.

Chalk up 1 for the ignorami.

I get it. I've been exposed to so much poor spelling and expression over the past two decades and as a consequence am now convinced my use of the English language grows worse each day.

I used to be an avid footy show fan.

But I haven't watched it for about 4 years.

I just found it an absolute waste of air time.

Last watched the show in 2007. Reading this thread for salacious gossip (of which there has been precious little). Or at least some uncensored bbo input (which I read with great sadness has been removed?).

Oh well. Toodle pip.

I actually got to the point where I now consider there to be an unspoken postscript of "...but not by much" just so it is bearable.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
