LOL Dustin Martin isnt even tough

Tattoos and 'dont argues'  dont make a footballer tough.  He spends more time hovering around packs looking for cheap ball than going in hard.

I have no great love for Dusty but I think this is a harsh analysis - he has a very nice mix of inside and outside and is not afraid to get his hands dirty. ( and by all reports is lobbying hard for Richmond to be the team to play Port in China as Dusty is already an expert on Chinese culture and in particular, the correct use of chopsticks)

I was certain we were going to drop the Essendon match, an absolute certainty- was down the whole week leading into it.

With that said, I agree with some of the sentiments expressed here; that that match could and should be a catalyst to ensure that it doesn't happen again.

We've matched up very well on Richmond for a few years now - I'm confident going into this round.

(In regards to the op - I've read thousands of more absurd posts on Demonland than that one from the Tiges supporters)

Saw this coming.

Still funny. Very good nutty :)

The ignorance of the Richmond supporter is something I've long enjoyed. These peasants never disappoint, whether they believe Cotchin is the best midfielder in the competition, or Hardwick will be a premiership coach.

'We've already lost'. 'The AFL wants us to lose and the umps have been instructed to **** us over'.

From Bigfooty. Give it a rest.

like someone else said maybe the bummers loss was the trigger we needed

Never saw so much anger and/or ridicule here and elsewhere after our loss to Essendon. Maybe the line in the sand has been finally drawn? This scenario kind of reminds me back to 2001 when a mostly chronic mediocre Brisbane had an indifferent start and  then powered home  to win the flag to the surprise of all. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I reckon the dynamics at the club have shifted with our depth and players having to fight to hold their spot.

With a likely two unlucky players to lose their spot (from a winning team) to allow Vince and Garlett back, the pressure to perform is now internal.

That almost half the team are one mediocre performance away from relegation, should ensure that they are switched on.

The pressure may be internal, but hopefully they deal with it like this.

We've all come up with crazy ideas to help the team when struggling. Some of them even happened, remember Sylvia in the ruck?

Most Tigers fans I know are pretty well balanced. Like us, they are well acquainted with bad footy so they know it when they see it.

Richmond have had the ability that last 3 years of turning in to a good side when you least expect it. So I'm nervous.

We are in control of our destiny. Win and break the shackles of the past or ........

I am confident we will beat Richmond because the new game plan was always going to take some time to bed in. In addition 3 new players (Kennedy, Bugg & Oliver) and now 5, in which to learn how to play together and how each other plays. Also the coaching staff are learning the best'fit' for each player.

I am hoping the shame of losing to Essendrug galvanizes the ENTIRE CLUB to make sure we never drop the guard or disrespect any opponent again

We have the talent to beat Richmond if we play 4 quarters of hard nosed football

Start well and keep going

do not give them a sniff and the heads will drop

We used to know all about that.

I am great believer that if we give a hard at it,  four quarter effort the scoreboard will usually take care of itself.

Confident, not a word that I am familiar with. It will take a run of sustained success that includes toppling some of the top sides before I become confident. Another year away I reckon. But my hopes are always present. I really want to see our young kids blossom and become dominant match winning players.

You will feel exactly the same as every other loss that you have witnessed, gutted.

That will depend on what we bring to the table.

North loss - disappointed. Essendon loss - disgusted.

During the Essendrug game that I watched on Fox with My daughter and grand daughter I was complaining bitterly and my Grand daughter said we are disgusting Pa.

From that moment on my day brightened substantially.

WE !

I just get the feeling that if we win this one, breaking the 2 win in a row hoodoo, we could really bring it for the rest of the season. If the form continues, we should push the top 10. Exciting times.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
