My understanding is it's limited to 2 only if they make finals. Otherwise they can match all 3.

I believe I heard that on the Gettable podcast.

You are right.ย  I forgot the finals part.

Thanks

Idle fantasy I know, but imagine Jeff in today's team, he was such a gun, and this isn't a knock on Brodie, but he could kick a goal or two. If Kalani has the heart of his old man we'll be going very well.ย

Kalani White is now 197cm and taller than Jeff. He achieved All Australian hours at Under 16 level at this yearโ€™s national carnival and now apparently, a premiership with his local team.

Wonderful stuff!

Congratulations to Kalani.

Jeff looks an extremely proud Father! ๐Ÿ˜Š

it will be nice when he starts growing "outwards" instead of up.

๐Ÿ˜† yep heโ€™s all arms and legs at the moment.

Let's retire number 34 asap and keep it for Kalani. Deakyn Smith has it now but he could be delisted/offered another number.

And people think he won't nominate under F/S. Laughable!

We can change this thread to "Welcome to Demonland Kalani White"ย

197cm at 16yo. Probably stops growing now but we might get lucky and see him get to 200cm.

I hate him too. But when you want a stupid smug face his always nails the vibeย

Kalani, Kolstryn & Kysiah will be a formidable force.

Not to mention Kyah Faris-White, the four K's.

Well we previously had a heap of jacks on the list ($cully, watts, trengove, grimes, Fitzpatrick) so its about time we moved onto the next letter of the alphabetย

Kalani jumping all over Luke Jackson in the future would be nice thank you. Just another reminder of Freo losing Jeff Whiteย

So I just wounder how important the seemingly good state of the keeping the past players engauged has been to this?

From what I understand Rod Ginter and Paul Hopgood? have been very active and really revitalized that group.ย  Also woundering if family are invited to the events and if not, would that be a good idea?

According to Jason Taylor on the Demonland Podcast he was tried up Forward and in Defence (in addition to the Ruck) during the Under 16 National comp.

JT obviously keeping a keen eye on the lad.ย  Does the quality and potential of Kalani partly explain why we haven't recruited more developing ruck depth at the recent draft and trade period?

If he's anywhere near as good as his old man, he could be a genuine ruck replacement for Max not too long after I'd expect Max to be in a 'retirement window'

I do fret a bit though and just hope we don't get dudded like we did with Mac Andrew, with a change to accademey and father son rules that makes it difficult or impossible for us to recruit Kalani.

The first bloke you named has the same first name as Fullarton and Hawkins and isnโ€™t a Jack, while there is a Jack who played with them, called Viney.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterdayโ€™s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown andย  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
