Stop bashing your opinions over people's heads and get off your high horse, PR states the kids didn't get developed properly PR is a premiership coach on 1.5 million a season , you and I are numbers on a footy forum so in saying that I think I will stick with what PR says about Baileys development program's .

It doesn't have to be one without the other, middy.

You are both correct. As is PR.

The list of players rpfc is referring to were poor choices and in my opinion would not have been A-graders anywhere.

BUT, there was also a very poor development program at the club in which players, including above mentioned , were not developed properly.

Poor draft picks not developed properly will just be poorer than they would've been otherwise.

Gysberts, cook, magic etc were NEVER going to be guns.

Wiser than you look Mungason

People with better memories can let me know if I've got the timings wrong but... I seem to recall Voss, with no fear for his safety, going for a ball full tilt against West Coast in Perth and breaking his leg. It was almost hyper courage (yeah, that's right, hyper courage!)and I'm trying to remember if it was before their golden run. I think it was.

The old 'I'm entitled to my opinion and therefore don't have to listen to alternative viewpoints' card. Played with finesse, Middy.

You seem to be a decent poster mate, but I struggle to read anything you've written thanks to the one, two punch from your avatar and username combo.

Had to dig through the family albums for that one.

So picks 3 and 7.

From the various things I have seen and read about this year's draftees, I hope we take Parish and Curnow.

While I haven't seen a lot of Parish, from what I have seen, he just looks like he oozes class and also has a hardness to his game. Would be great if he were a few cm's taller but not all mids have to be 188cm plus. What he lacks in height, he appears to make up for in skill and decision making.

Once again, while I have only seen limited footage, Curnow looks and sounds like he could be anything. At worst I think he will be a great target with safe hands alongside Hogan. At best, I think he is the closest thing to Bontempelli in this draft, in that he also has the potential to dominate through the midfield.

The whispers would suggest the club is very much interested in both of them.

What makes you lean towards Curnow more that Wiedeman, ben? Is it his injury concerns or does Curnow offer more versatility? Haven't seen much of either.

The little rover that wore the helmet was an outstanding player as well can't remember his name.

I mention him in post #995.

I also haven't seen much of either but the reasons you have mentioned is why I'm leaning more towards Curnow.

If Brett Anderson's on the money then i suspect it'll be Curnow & Oliver with the other option being Parish/Weideman. Curnow/Oliver is probably the safer option with Parish/Weideman having greater upside.

No, you don't.

It doesn't really matter, but if you care so much about how others treat you on here, have some self-reflection with what you type.

I really hope we don't pass up Darcy Parish for Curnow,

Parish is exactly what our midfield needs, and Curnow is a good chance to be there at 7 anyway.

I had such good vibes about Toumpas that I don't trust anything about the draft these days. Just happy we've landed a few champions in Brayshaw, Viney and vandenBerg.

As did I JH and Lucas Cook before him (I wish I was joking). But life moves on and I have replaced Jimmy as my favourite player with ANB. Why not do the same? Go to your user profile and under favourite player type Dean Terlich. You won't regret it.

Um, sure. Just the one thing - wtf are you talking about JH?

Ahh, I see. For a moment I thought it was me but, of course, it's you. I feel better JH.

Parish seems a lock for 3.

Then Curnow for 7 if available.

And if not him, I'd be happy with Oliver or Balic (assuming Weideman and Francis have also been picked up).

That seems logical RB but do any of us really have any idea? It's possible we have decided, say, Francis is vital to us going forward or Carlton is opting for Curnow (probably not) thereby changing everything.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
