You're probably right - his ex skipper is having a ball in New York, working as a barista....

Watson has a law degree?!

He's had a kid this year so hopefully he's looking at this as a year of Paternity Leave and enjoying every moment of it.

MFC needs more pace in the midfield or back half. Melksham will be a huge IN for 2017.

Yeh we need pace, but Melksham lacks it LOL. Too much hype over this lad

Must be why our professional recruiting team went for him then. Pity they didn't consult you first.

Um, you don't need to be a professional to work out he is not a fast player.

There were many people on here underwhelmed by the recruitment of Kennddy and Bugg just quietly... Have some faith in the new FD, they gave barely put a foot wrong the past 2 years

Melksham is seriously underrated. Great skills on both sides of the body. Certainly doesn't lack pace (check the chase down tackle in this clip)

He will thrive under Goody and is EXACTLY what we need off half back.

We will be a 2-3 goal better team with him in it.

Hibberd on the other flank and we have 2 goal kicking half backs.

He's a bit taller than I thought he was - 185 cms.

Those highlights are impressive but they're all from the same 3 or 4 games haha!

I still am.

Good ordinary players who are great for the club's depth and both are presently best 22, but when we're in the hunt for a flag I doubt either will be running out on GF day.

But I agree they've been worthwhile recruits and better than I expected.

Kinda felt dirty having those colours on the screen....lol

Certainly has a bit of niggle and a turn of pace..( contrary to many on here's views )

My issue has only ever been with the prudence of taking him  and at what cost.  Not ,can he play.

Goody and Macca rate him. They're no fools and it will be Goody shaping it al from this seasons end so

As a push up half back flank he will be a welcome asset when he dons ( sic ) the Red  and Blue.  I hope he CAN regain his fitness and form.

At least he had the sense to leave that scummy lot.

Yes bb he gets points for that move.

Shannon Byrnes played in two flags. Even premiership teams contain good ordinary players who play their role.

So did Clay Sampson and Steven Armstrong.

If they do they do they're still "good ordinary", which makes them less likely than likely in my view.

Any other scenarios you can mention that won't mean anything to me ?

Only 8 more weeks before he begin training.....

Best good ordinary players we have had on the list for a while.  Of course, many were ordinary, ordinary players previously.  It's amazing how good ordinary players rise to the occasion, when its required, as the team develops, evolves and gels.  As the old axiom goes, a team's worth is measured by how good their bottom 6 players are, not their top 6.  Hopefully, we'll get the answer on ours, in the not too distant future.

I know it's the Melskham thread - but I really like Kennedy.  He's a great competitor.  His kicking penetration really stood out to me in QBW match - twice he kicked very long to Hogan to create goals, once in the 3rd for a Hogan mark, and in the last resulting in a goal to Watts

Agree, he's been a good pickup, exceeded my expectations already!
