2015 FINALS

Recommended Posts

Imagine if we had a key forward that could take a contested mark and a dangerous explosive small forward.

Imagine if we moved the ball quickly.

Now we just need a Jenkins type player to help Jesse. See how valuable hs is for Tex Walker

My own personal Curse of the Pharaohs on Freo for the rest of the finals.

They have learnt nothing on sportsmanship.

The rest of them. Go for it.

West Coast's turn around in 2 years pretty amazing. Players seem to pop up from nowhere, trained, hard, muscles on muscles ready to go....

Personally I reckon the dogs are more style than substance.

Their defence tonight leaves much to be desired, at the expense of an open, free-flowing game.

They're conceding easy opportunities in transition from attack to defence. The crows have had too much space to run into behind the Dogs defence. The Crows seem pretty happy to sit players behind the ball & hit the Dogs on the counter attack.

The Crows just have much more substance to their gameplan. Have plans in place to cope with changing scenarios in the game.

Campo has done an exemplary job considering the circumstances. Nobody would've blamed that group if they fall apart as the season ended, but their resilience has to be partly attributed to the job he's done as caretaker.

Damn, the Crows forward line is incredibly potent. You nullify Betts, Charlie Cameron just steps up. You nullify Walker, Lynch steps up.

You find a way to nullify them all? Sloane, Danger and the rest of their midfield turn into the goalkickers. Well drilled team.

Mono if the player is under pressure aren't you allowed to rush it?

Yes, sure. But I thought that in that instance the pressure was not all that great. After all, there is pressure all the time. Just scrap the rule.

WB v Adelaide half way through first qtr, great footy.

It is a pity that one of these two have to go out. I would much have preferred were these two were to be playing elimination v Norf and Toiges.

Imagine if we had a key forward that could take a contested mark and a dangerous explosive small forward.

Imagine if we moved the ball quickly.

Well, we have 1 and 2.....hopefully year 3 of the Roos master play will involve attack! Word is that the whole of years 1&2 were based entirely on defense.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
