SaberFang 7,151 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 So if Brisbane get the upset (looking possible at the moment) then Adelaide get their home final IF they pull their finger out. If I were Campo, I'd be screaming it into every player's ears at 3QT that beating Geelong means a home final after all. Come on boys!!
Sir Why You Little 37,498 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Aah memories of '87 when it was all on the line....
SaberFang 7,151 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 11 points at 3QT. Going to be an excruciating final quarter. Lions missed so many opportunities to put the Dogs away and now trail by 8 points.
titan_uranus 25,268 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Adelaide's blown it in this fourth quarter. Lions are back on top of the Dogs and that home final remains a chance, but they've let Geelong steamroll them late.
What 18,810 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Brissy giving their supporters some optimism and joy to go into the off season with. This is what we need tomorrow.
Mazer Rackham 14,972 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Brisbane beating the Dogs. It should hurt but I'm too numb.
Ethan Tremblay 31,396 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Adcock having a good last game for Brissy, slightly better than Staker's.
praha 11,274 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Brisbane taking it to a top 5 team. Tomorrow we play a bottom 10 team and we'll get smashed.
daisycutter 30,027 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Brisbane taking it to a top 5 team. Tomorrow we play a bottom 10 team and we'll get smashed. dogs aren't top 5 even if they win (which looks unlikely)
dees189227 12,541 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 wow what a strange round. The way its going Carlton will probably beat hawthorn.
praha 11,274 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 dogs aren't top 5 even if they win (which looks unlikely) Nonetheless, 18th with nothing to play for but pride and they beat a squad about to play finals footy. When was the last time we actually played *well* in the last round? (Hint: we were also about to play finals)
Wiseblood 24,637 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Carltank are now primed to win the spoon. Love it.
Wiseblood 24,637 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Nonetheless, 18th with nothing to play for but pride and they beat a squad about to play finals footy. When was the last time we actually played *well* in the last round? (Hint: we were also about to play finals) Big deal. When the season was still alive we rolled some very, very good sides. The Lions come good in the last round against a side that had a creche down back and were hoping to get through unscathed. Not much to get your knickers in a twist about.
titan_uranus 25,268 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Angriest person in Australia right now - Scott Camporeale? With that Dogs loss they had the chance to move into 6th and a home final. Instead, they're almost certain to have to play the Dogs at Etihad instead. Meanwhile, nice to see Brisbane play their best game in the last round. I know they didn't have Beams, not sure who else wasn't playing, but it would be nice if we didn't routinely consider our final games 'meaningless' and tried to put on a show for the fans.

dees189227 12,541 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 yep adelaide stuffed it up but it was always going to be hard beating geelong at there home ground when they are farewelling 3 of there great players. But Adelaide should be applauded for actually getting to the finals and achieving what they have this season after what they have been through.

You mean like beating Geelong at their home ground when they are celebrating one of their all-time favourite players' 300th game?
45HG 1,559 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 There's something about the right of screen at Adelaide Oval.
SaberFang 7,151 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Screw this round, it's going to cost me a huge windfall in tipping, I can just tell.
Earl Hood 6,167 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 wow what a strange round. The way its going Carlton will probably beat hawthorn. More likely the Saints will knock over the Weagles to give the Hawks second spot!
DubDee 26,795 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 We are gonna by to finish the year 2 games from a wooden spoon
Wadda We Sing 10,685 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Dawks a lazy 9 goals up at 3/4 time....Calton blue baggers .....Wooden Spoon circa 2015.....best thing all season.
SaberFang 7,151 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Thanks to the Crows throwing away their home final, I'm equal first in tipping now. Fantastic. Question is, who holds their nerve tipping in the last 4 games that all appear reasonably one-sided? The only surprise upset I can predict is us, but this team hasn't won a single time that I've tipped them this year.
Whispering_Jack 31,381 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Looks like we're not the only team that stinks in the first quarter these days.
