Yep and dya know what there is no immediate antidote!

Its like we have a cancer that can't be fixed right now , but in twenty years or so a "Miracle" cure will be found!

There is only one problem

By that time the patient will be dead!

After following for this club for a lifetime After today gee I sat at the "G" and a seagull pooped on me!

Can it get any worse??

Be thankful cows don't fly

This is Fitzroy II. The club is trying to die.

It's doing it very slowly but on a positive it's killing off its supporter base.

If Viney doesn't improve offensively he will be at risk of becoming Mckenzie 2.0

Well interesting,

I reckon Jack Viney has one card, Throw himself at the ball and win it then????

Lacks Pace

Lacks Penetration in kicking and accuracy

Lacks tricks.

I hate to say it but I tend to agree!

Our best can still beat 14 other sides. Our worst will see us lose to 17 teams. Nothing has changed since last week on that front.

I fear for membership next year though and it's unlikely we'll be able to attract many (if any) decent recruits. On the back of the last two weeks, I worry it's completely shattered our otherwise promising chances of landing a few decent players.

Can it though? Is it not possible that all our upset wins this year were more a case of the opposition not showing up?

Can you honestly say that Geelong, Collingwood, Bulldogs and Richmond all threw their best at us when we got wins against them? We lambasted DeGoey for explaining away their loss against us from teammates "just expecting to win," but maybe he wasn't far off the truth.

I was genuinely impressed by our win against the Gold Coast and thought the corner had been turned. Then they ended up spending most of the year in 16th and the reality sunk in.

Well I predict r23 melbourne v gws will be a world record for the lowest crowd ever at a game. 1:10 fathers day. We will be coming off a thrashing from freo Im assuming. People won't want to sit through another potential match we may lose. Im guessing some will boycott it.

People should also boycott the b&f. Show the team they dont deserve our applause at the moment. Harsh, but players will stand up there and say all the nice heart warming stuff that they want us to hear. Im sick of the talk. I want results.

Lumumba subbed off just before half time with 1 HB to his name. Gee, the ball mustn't have been in our back half much.......

It's increasingly obvious we have barely improved; rather, other teams just got substantially worse for extenuating circumstances. Brisbane and Gold Coast's awful injury lists and Essendon's WADA capitulation.

Ironically enough, the only list I consider genuinely worse than ours (and appropriately places lower than us on the ladder) is Carlton, so naturally they destroyed us today. Go [censored] figure. Even the Saints have well and truly lapped us after last year's wooden spoon and now sit comfortably above us on percentage.

Oh but you are so wrong. We have demonstrably improved according to some delusional people on here........

You could tell exactly what was going to happen when the weak, heartless, clumsy imbecile named Garland tackled his man as the ball approached a contest , gifting Walker his first goal n the first 30 seconds of the game. Straight downhill from there. Real club stalwart and inspirational leader he is, just sets the tone with his failure every week for the last 2 years. Genuine poster boy for the shattered pizzweak culture that has destroyed this club for the last decade. Leave please.

Preceded by Carlton waltzing the ball out of the centre with zero pressure... you are right, you could tell immediately we were going to lose.

We've improved from 100 point thrashings every week; doesn't mean we're not still the worst team in the competition.

Daniel Cross cannot kick for [censored]. His useless 'switch' kicks that missed targets by 20 metres and led to turnovers and goals were a disgrace. Could grimes fall over anymore? We do we constantly run at the opposition player and they think they will break tackles (think Harmes lad quarter). Tom McDonald is the slowest thinker. Undoes his goo work with slow predictable decision making.

Melbourne will be lucky to kick four goals for the game.

You had me until the Mcdonald comment..

His disposal and decision making was awful. I am yet to see these 'star like qaulities' in mcdonald.

I didn't think it was awful today. Yes that's the area that's holding him back, but he can win plenty of the ball, play at either end or the ruck and run all day. He can will himself to contests when the game's on the line and take marks. He will be a match winner eventually

JRS, You were going well until you got to this.

Newton is a nice looking left-foot kick and seems to be able to rove packs better than some of our guys, but to suggest he provides outside run is laughable.

Today he became the first player in AFL history to be chased down by Watson (members wing), despite the fact that he had a 10m start on him.

If he could find a few extra yards toe, he'd be an AFL player each week.

If we could find a sprints coach of repute, then we'd be a chance to make some ground up quickly.

But neither is going to happen while Missen is in charge.

Ok, I didn't mean to imply he's a greyhound, but he can find space, get it forward and can be a threat around goals. He's clearly a decent footballer who fills a position in our side that we need but has been held back (in favour of some less talented players)

Lamumba went off early in second quarter and was treated for an ankle injury and then subbed off just before half time. Don't distort the truth to serve your end.

Yeah you're right. He didn't get much of a chance to add to his 10 disposals against the dogs and his 7 disposals against North. But hey, the ball wasn't down in our fwd line much in those two games.........oh, hang on a minute.....

He goes well with Garland's 7, 13 and 9 disposals the last 3 weeks. These are our senior leaders and key defenders. No wonder were stuffed. The can't defend and they cant get the ball.

Not sure why either of them are there really..

I've put the cue in the rack - not wasting my time watching the next 2 games. I'll only become interested again to see who we delist and draft. Less likely to attract any decent players with these performances. Hope we can get some onfield mongrel types / leaders that play like Hodge, Fyfe, Sloan and J. Selwood - to replace the insipid leaders we have.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
