GAME DAY - Round 21

Umm lay a tackle? Man up? Spoil? Anything?

This club is hopeless. Trengove actually had the nerve to have a swipe at fans who have a go at players. Said something along the lines of we don't know what it's like out there. Maybe if you didn't play like such an insipid bunch of pricks we wouldn't be so upset. Seriously, wake the [censored] up and have a [censored] crack you ass holes

Not gonna bother renewing my membership next year, sick of putting up my hard earned cash for the last 12 years to this pathetic club, if the players can't be bothered putting in effort well I won't be either

Maybe head office could design some sort of membership where we can get into a game for a quarter or if we are lucky maybe half a game. Since it would be too much to ask these blokes to play 4 quarters why should we pay for it?

Carlton were right....we do play bruise free footy. Simple fact.

Hahaha there are actually players out there that arent even trying.

Im getting a beer.

Cross has lost the plot

Jones is being tagged.

Continues to play with intent and ferociousness.

STFU about him not being 'captain material'.

He is the best we've got by light-years.

Best in what regard? Intent? Simon Godfrey had intent.

He is our Ritchie Vandenberg.

I have been s member for 57 years. Never again

beat me by 5yrs and never again was late renewing this year and they had the cheek to ring and remind me,some little kid rang who could not even spell my name

get Cross of now!!!!!!!!!!

Chris Dawes again gets shoved off by a smaller opponent.

Christ he is USELESS

Can we at least start a fight?

Jesse need to calm down, he's also lost the plot

Can we at least start a fight?

Dawes will try no doubt, he loves starting holidays early.

You can't have it both ways.

You either play the whistle and everyone stops or you give the benefit of the doubt.

If Hogan had stopped and not kicked it and find out our was our free, he'd get tackled and lose it.

Stupid bloody rule.

So, Rising Star showdown with all the judges watching this match, ey...

How do these fumblers make AFL.

Who the hell would want to come to this team, cya Garland

Alex Neal-Bullen has a higher Dreamteam score than Jeff Garlett and NB is the sub yet to come on (0 v -3)

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
