My wife (who does not watch AFL) asked me tonight after about two minutes if he was drunk.

I said probably.

Well my wife, the first time she saw him on Footy Classified around a year ago, asked me if he had a serious medical condition

Essendon paid Matthew Knights not to coach in 2011 and 2012 (sacked with 2 years contract left). Paid Hird not to coach in 2014 while suspended. Will pay Hird not to coach in 2016. Probably $2-3

Er sorry I think I must live in a different aeon than some of you guys. I still don't get it (and am keen to - I find most things about Hird interesting - he's a fascinating example of how our obsession with sport creates purely narcissistic personalities - and his worshipers are the kind of empty vessels who are attracted to such creeps)

Our own dear Tulip was his polar opposite.

No idea at all (nor do I care TBH).

For me, one of the best things of this whole sordid affair (talking the drugs here) is that we see the back of Hird. From what we saw of him before his suspension, I thought he had the makings of a great coach. The last thing I want is to see the bummers get another great coach, so thrilled to see the back of Tird

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.     Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders.     Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9.
