Is Mitch White a chance for this week? Obviously the kid is not ready but he has been consistent at Casey, shown he has some AFL qualities and he could slot into Nev's back pocket. It's a nice time to give Mitch a look at the tempo of an AFL game at the end of the season so that he knows what it's going to take to make the grade in 2016.

I have been saying this for weeks! Not sure of his "Upgrade" status but what an opportunity against a weak Carltank.

As I have been telling anyone who would listen, this kid is going o be a 200 gamer.

Has Pace and time, Elite left foot kick, Plays taller than what he is, reads play beautifully, did I mention he can also kick a goal!

After consistent bests I really think its time Selectors "Blood" for next year,

That means play him and anyone else with pace

its time Roosy!

Although he deserves to be dropped, I wouldn't be surprised if Howe is named, even if his leg fell off.

Gotta get him to that magic 100 games.

The Lumumba experiment has also failed. Time for him to just go. I have no idea what he is supposed to be bringing the team, but whatever it is, it's not helping.

I have no evidence to support this, but given Salem was out ill (flu?) and the claim that some others may have been similarly afflicted last week, I'm going to assume that some more of our players were playing under the weather yesterday. It helps me to process the scope of the loss (although not the loss itself. I think that was always going to happen). If I want some evidence, given his performances in the last few weeks, I can't believe Gawn wasn't unwell yesterday. I accept that Tom McDonald going into the ruck might have been because Gawn was playing poorly, but maybe his poor performance was illness related.

So, changes next week might depend on who played ill and who just played badly. I'm impressed with the efforts Bail and M Jones have delivered over the last few years but I don't see them in our team going forward so I would look at replacing them. Salem is an obvious in; Tyson if fit. If Tyson isn't fit, then perhaps Toumpas should be given the last three games so we can see what he's got one more time. Jetta plays if fit, but if he can't play, maybe Stretch should return.

Out: Michie, Bail, Lumumba, M. Jones, Garland, Harmes, McDonald

In: Salem, Tyson, Stretch, Newton, Riley, JKH, Fitzpatrick

I like your agressive selection ideas..

McDonald had 29 touches... Won't be dropped..

Lumumba needs a wake up call but won't get one.. He needs to get 20 touches a game.. Struggles to 15..

Toumpus was taken off at half time with concussion.. And appatently Fitz kicked 4 goals before his sugar level went crazy.. The Toump is finished..

Please don't make Grimes the sub again. He deserves to be on the field.

Apparently there are 24 at the club - players and staff who have been crook with a flu/virus in the past week or so. The club's been hard hit.

Some will again say this is making excuses but flu or similar illness is certainly a real possibility.

And good to see a considered view rather than an angry knee jerk reaction.

So because the club's receptionist had the sniffles, we lost by 98 points. MFC excuses at their best.

The Dogs are playing a different game to almost everybody else with their play on at all cost style, which works really well at Etihad where the wind doesn't impact ball delivery as much.

Given we are playing against the tanking Blues, I'm hoping for a few changes, but I can't really see it happening.

Ins: Salem in if well enough. Tyson back if fit. White in to see how he goes. Fitzy in if Blues go tall.

Outs: Could be almost anyone really but without flu, I'd tip Jetta (inj), Neal-Bullen, Bail and possibly even Grimes (coach obviously doesn't rate him much).

Can't see Roosy being disloyal to Lumumba, Garland and other senior men this late in season.

Angus could be sub, but nothing gained by dropping him now. He may as well get used to a 22-game season.

I just hope Tyson and Salem are good to go. Boy do we need some class back.

Lumumba has to go. He is a huge liability. Bail out too. Jetta hopefully ok.

I agree with your four suggested 'ins' but I would rather replace HL than Grimes. Using your own rationale we owe more loyalty to Grimes!

Yep on the field at Casey! Sorry, he is far too slow now for the modern game.

Michie doesn't deserve to be dropped. Had a dip yesterday.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
