Was good to c us run out the last quarter so solidly.

I was very worried at three quarter time (and during the whole bloody game tbh)

Watts is looking better and better as he goes on.

Great win but can we now lose the split personality we have as a team and bring this effort every week, not the one we've dished up for the past 3

One of the top five games from Watts I've seen.

How about seeing him stream through half forward for a shot at goal from 40 at full tilt? He missed the goal unfortunately, but the intent was amazing. Would have lifted the roof off if he'd drilled it.

He's playing with great confidence now, and took it up a level with his intensity today I thought.

A new tactic. Eshew potential contested clearances in the middle. Lock it in down forward.

Thought that jokingly too. It helped us. They just reverted to bombing up the middle to Witts and Grundy all quarter. It was like watching ourselves. They had no plan B. We locked them in well.

Spot on Nash.

And to think the wider footy community potted him for dropping himself a few months ago when he was right out of form. He's been a different player since he did that and fits in with Roos' idea of the players taking responsibility for their footy. Wonderful to see him play so well today.

As good as the win was, we still made horrible, stupid, under 10s mistakes.

Roos coached well today, but at times he hasn't.

Loved Garlos reaction at the end of the game and then when waiting to walk off the ground the hug he gave Dunn was awesome.

I am a MASSIVE Garland fan.

He cares so much, and works so hard.

He isn't a perfect player but he gives you everything. His reaction on the siren was heart warming.

I hope they sign him ASAP

Gawn was gone at about the 20 minute mark of the third quarter. I thought they'd run over the top of us, but we locked it in oir forward line and ensure Gawn didn't need to cover too much ground.

You can't have a go at anyone, mate. You're like a yoyo every week.

Yeah but at least im only negative after a loss LOL

Go Deesssssssssssssss

Gus has got a special talent.

Bullen and Harmes . Last quarter in everything and not half hearted.

Gawn out on his feet at 3/4 time and helped well by 2 C'wood players now playing for Melbourne. Must have been good for them.

Senior players were well satisfied with that effort.

Great win. Should have won by 10 goals I thought.

They played EXACTLY as we did last week. Overused the ball, no support for one another, pitiful second efforts, erratic forward entries.

Great win.

I think that all the Watts bashing from the general public, media and some of our own supports will work in his favour.

By that I mean it is going to make him stronger mentally which is only going to complement his footy skills and brain.

Thanks for the scores. Appreciated.

Now, to get the AFL app working, to watch a replay, before i get too pizzed.

Well done to the confident ones who predicted a win. I didnt.

C'mon mate, can't even put it aside to enjoy the win?

We would have to be the most insufferable and ungrateful bunch of supporters sometimes. We beat the filth and the first thing you post is a negative.

A truth.

I thought this was a discussion, if you want only positive comments open a thread called "roses only, our shite don't stink"

I want our club to be ruthless, I'm enjoying the win, but reality is we did our best to stuff things up all game especially in the second.

He was really aggressive and made and impact as the sub and that's all u can do as the sub.

I don't disagree with what you posted. It is a truth. One that is on display when we play far too often than we would like.

But we are so quick to get stuck into our players, sometimes rightly so and other times unjustly, that it seems harsh to come straight in and be negative in the first thing you post. The boys deserve praise for the way they played today, not a reminder of something that clearly didn't hurt us too much today.

What was Michies disposals, I didn't see heaps of him, but when I did he seemed to do well.

He's only credited with 6 disposals, but I find that very hard to believe. He seemed to get a lot of it in the first half. Maybe he had a lot of involvements that didn't register as disposals or something?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
