GAME DAY - Round 15

Featured Replies

If we lose this, we will finish last

Time to go do something useful. Not good for the head watching this [censored]

Daniher has kicked 4 straight today. and 1.8 in the past 4 games combined

I cant recall the last time we were favourites in a match and actually went on to win one of them.

No exception here. Just a horrible football club if you cant beat these flogs with no mid field

the same as 186

This team is a disgusting joke

Selfish lazy players, no game plan, zero skills

We will never change will we?

Pack your bags, we are off to the draft

One of those games three goals in 5 minutes will do it.

Fear it will be them.

Been following Melbourne too long

A disgraceful display!

Hang your heads in shame MFC!!! [censored] pathetic!

Coaching staff need a good hard look at themselves!

Game over.

Well, that will do me. What a pathetic effort in a pathetic game of football.

Done, over it. It's not just our club, horrendous over umpiring, horrible decisions, constant rule changes, boring football.

I can handle losing if it's good to watch.

12 to 3 clearences this qtr!

[censored] lift! where is our leaders!!!!

This team is a disgusting joke

Selfish lazy players, no game plan, zero skills

We will never change will we?

Start with the coaching group stop patting themselves on the back. How is it after 9 years, we still have so many players that cannot fathom that they are required to turn up and play every weekend?

Yet again the selectors have lost this for us. It was obvious Daniher is too tall and Fitz should have been playing.

Disgusting pathetic effort by our forwards

So Melbourne.

Essendon are doing a real job on us......unless we kick the next four goals in a row it's definately game over.

This club is [censored]!

Seriously just about done supporting this piece of [censored] of a club.

This is pathetic.

We will never be anything other than a crap club. We will never turn the corner.

I [censored] told you idiots not to get ahead of yourselves

Because it's the supporters that need to take note.

Take your displeasure out on those who deserve it.

Not sure why I'm still at the game. This is pathetic. Any chance Gawn could do more than tap it straight to his feet?

So we tag Godard in the second when he gets on top, then we don't and he smashes us around the contest.

One million a year...

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
