I don't think I have seen Bernie Vince kick a straight kick ever.....Just seems to bomb them off the foot to no one in particular. Terrible.

Port look like a totally different side now. Run ons are an amazing thing in footy. Their confidence was shot. Dunn kicks the ball down the middle to Bail when he didn't need to and Port get a goal from it and their confidence rose from there.

Our midfield is clearly still C grade. Jones is a solid B grader (love him, love his effort), but when the momentum swings against us, he doesn't have that star quality to swing a game. Brayshaw just might, in time.

Jack Watts. FMD. Just tried to tackle without his arms.

Watts had the Port player on toast but put on the weakest tackle attempt.

watts bump on impey in lieu of a tackle was pathetic.

Said this 2 years ago and got pulverised on this site.

You cant shovel gutz into a weakling, end of story, weaklings dont develop or change their habits under pressure.

Again, we show that we can't keep up in the midfield with top sides. Gray, Boak, Wines and Ebert are head and shoulders above every one of our mids unfortunately. We are desperate for Brayshaw and Petracca to come on faster than should be expected of youngsters.

Watch Brayshaw get an injury that ruins his development. We shouldn't need him to be playing every game but he's one of our best mids at the moment. We put pressure on these kids and it wrecks them. Same thing happened to Trengove.

Port Adelaide has scored 8.3.51 as a result of opposition turnovers today, its second best result from this score source this season. How far in front are they.

Is it a lot for a supporter to want his team to win more than one week in a row?

Please, No more Bail & Watts, thanks

Ridiculously similar to the GWS game. This is now 3 interstate games this year where we've come out breathing fire, dominated early, and then at the smallest hint of pressure, dropped our heads and fallen apart. No leadership, too many passengers, no work ethic. Away from the G we obviously have no confidence in our ability.

Well my optimism for Queens Birthday has taken a nosedive.

Such a shame to see a complete repeat of the GWS disaster.

Can I help you whip Dunn this week, please?

what I hate is the instant reply when we finally do score. Cancels out any gain, in confidence as well as scoreboard. I hate that.

If Port can kick 7 in eight minutes so can we.

No we can't.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
