Good! I like that we don't leak like a sieve anymore.

Nearly all trade stories are leaked from player agents rather than clubs.

It was a fair post responded with arrogance name won star mid u 26 if Roos doesn't get one in this trade period he's failed in that regard in my opinion, that's why people post isn't it to express opinions just because a guy has 6000 post doesn't mean he knows more than the next, the guys comeback was rude so expect the same back

I reckon Brayshaw, Tyson & Petracca for a start...but time will tell.

Have you got a left handed hammer I could borrow.

Yes, but you need to get some left-handed nails to use it on .

No ok, as I am needing it for right side of wall.

don't get the wrong ones then !!

Yeah, I only want the nails with heads on one end.

Nails with a point on each end save time because you don't have spend a second working out which way they go in.

I didn't mean from TAC but I forgot about Dom that was a win

Noted I'm not here to make enemys

You're going about that terribly.

Your 4th post here was to tell a respected poster they had no football knowledge and should be embarrassed. All over the incredibly complex topic of body language on the field. Completely unwarranted.

We have enough angst in this joint without you adding to it for no good reason.

You done nothing wrong mate, just some people here who think their opinions are the only ones need to chill instead of paying out on fellow supporters for having alternate opinions. It's pathetic really.

My swans mate reckons he heard today

Watts to Sydney for Craig Bird and Daniel Robinson.

Who the F are they??

Who the F are they??

I had to google him as well. We all should know Bird, Robinson plays wing/half forward.

Not sure how to post links but from reading on the swans website he's been stuck in the NEAFL behind sone pretty handy players.

I don't mind trading any player on our list but I want QUALITY in return otherwise it's another waste of a trade/pic.

No thanks. I'd take Bird as a delisted free agent, nothing more, and know nothing about Robinson.

I guess Bird isn't the fish we're looking for

beyond left field. ......

Sign where ?

He did stress it was a rumour but it's what he heard.

I look at it this way, Robinson could be the next VB or could be the next Cook. Watts needs a fresh start, if he's on 3-400k that's extra cap space to throw at someone else. We may not get back what we perceive to be of equal value, for us it might be about the extra money.

Small part of a big picture.

The Swans signed Robinson as a 14 year old

Imo there is no chance he moves clubs

Goodes spent the later part of his career as a half forward plus they have lost/are going to loose Jetta. They have a surplus of inside players. Watts gets out of the Melbourne spotlight.

I actually dont mind this...fiction /non...not fussed as a point of discussion.

The 2 birds are speculative. WATTS is also really...will he/won't he ?

Two get chances where where they are is currently limited. One gets to reboot.

Interesting

Getting Robinson would be just getting another Aidan Riley.

No thanks!

I like it, Craig Bird is walk up start to our best 22, and a serious upgrade on Matt Jones and co, knows the Swans game style well and should fit in nicely, and Watts gets out of Melbourne and into a team that can use his Weapons rather than highlight his weaknesses

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
