  1. probably would have kicked 10 the way we dominated the first 3 quarters
  2. Lions have had 11 wins in the past three (21 if you go one season further back). Where as we had 14 wins in the thee years prior to Roos when we applied for one. Though, that includes 6 wins against the two expansion clubs which were no where near afl standard back then, so really it was more like 8 wins and an extra 2 wooden spoons to go with the other 2 we had in that 7 year period.
  3. According to Sam landsberger, "Essendon stole the show with seven shrewd selections", please let this be another wines/toumpas fiasco... Also they hardly stole the show, a lightly framed mid who displays no exceptional speed, endurance or skill and a utility whom most are unsure as to where he will play at afl level. If anything I think Brisbane had a great draft. Notwithstanding getting Schache - the tall toward they desperately needed - securing academy players Eric Hipwood and then Ben Keays (who i think will be a gun) the latter much later than predicted allowing them to swoop on Rhys Mathieson with pick 39 (painfully close to our 3rd pick), allowed them to adress their needs whilst avoiding any strong go home factorr, all in all a great draft for the lions. I assume he's just another essendrugs supporter, so what's the point, just another garbage journalist spewing out biased cr*p. I'm surprised he didn't take a pot at melbourne whilst he was at it, then he'd have all bases covered.
  4. jones, dunn, vince, tmac, viney, col garldand, H
  5. Why else trade up to pick 3 if not to get Parish? Whether we traded up or kept our original picks we probably would have a 50/50 chance that one of Curnow or Weideman would get past Essendon, but there's zero chance of Parish getting through.
  6. AFL pocket profile posted today, he seems very self-assured not over confident or cocky and the highlights look promising. I would almost rather take him at 3 unless we're certain he'll be their at 7. Im sure parish is talented but he doesn't really stand out that much from the other mids around that range in my opinion and considering we have traded our future first rounder this might be our best opportunity to get another talented tall in to pair with hogan.
  7. Adam is waiting for it to go through. I didn't say GWS would want to trade him, but that Adam would request a trade. Hopefully melbourne would at least enquire and present a possible deal. They do have a history of trading contracted players, Tyson, Boyd and Curtly Hampton just today to name a few.
  8. seems like any player that wants out of GWS generally gets their way and he hasn't exactly been in there starting 22 consistently.
  9. not both second rounders together, just to be clear, that would be too much.
  10. I know its been speculated upon in the media but Adam Tomlinson definitely wants out. Waiting for Cam McCarthy deal to go through. Would be a nice pairing with hogan. Ideally we would get a second rounder for howe and that might work, otherwise next years second rounder might get it done.
  11. draft combine was equal second in 20 metre sprint and won the 30 metre repeat sprint...if he's still there by our second pick might be worth it
  12. completely disagree, watching him in the handful of games he played before getting injured he was great. Tough, has a bit of pace, good size and much liked by hawks fans. Plus trying to crack into a team going for three straight flags whilst coming back from injury (see brendan Whitecross), is a bit harder than getting into port of freo.
  13. They many not have it after the trade period given they're keen on Carlisle
  14. Well according to Jason Akermanis he won't be playing at all next year...despite still being contracted, 24 years old and coming off one of his better seasons. What a useless opinion, from a shocking journalist if he even counts as one.
