Can we get rid of the '[Pedersen]' filter. It's actually more annoying than people spelling his name wrong!\

Pederson has crack, and that is what I want every player in my football club to do. By AFL standards he is average, at best, in talent but he had a go.

Have no idea what the deal is with Pederson not getting a consistent game in the ones. He's miles beyond Dawes and gives it a crack, at this point in time.

Roos doesn't seem to have much love for him.

Dawes must be a fantastic trainer and most importantly a good bloke.

Any chance of doing the same for "Lamumba" and "Mitchie"?

Dawes the big mouth, he pokes the bear and backs it up with 8 possess, never more stupid comments made by a player, the hawks are gettable, we expect to win, if your going to talk big u must play big, gave nothing.

Yep, silly stuff. You need to pick your moment and coming off two weeks of beng totally outclassed and about to face the reigning premiers isn't the time to puff out your chest.

agreed John Dee.

I do not want to see one player in a red & blue jumper, who will not go in a physical contest. just should not get a game, until they learn they can, & they will.

Hmm appears to be out of contract at the end of the year. Anyone worried he's going to leave us?

I actually think him leaving would hurt us more than Howe leaving.

He'd have polled well in the B&F voting in 2 of the 3 games he's played. Dawes and Howe wouldn't have factored in any of the games they've played.

True that Cam Pedersen is a good footballer......until the ball hits the ground.

Seriously though, right now is the best contested mark in the side along with Hogan.

Great mark, takes them contested but most of them are smart intercepts.

Despite the infamous head dropping incident a couple of years ago, he absolutely always provides a contest.

Our best player yesterday. He regularly marks strongly.

Will be on the team sheet next week for sure.

In the words of the incomparable Jack Dyer. Just a good, ordinary footballer. Does his job.

Agree entirely.

He's honest and when he plays his best as fringe player it looks good in a perennially carp side like Melbourne.

Had the privilage of sitting behind Cam Ps inlaws at the game on sat.way up there on level 30 with all those vacant seats below grrrrr but back to Cam, it seems that Cam played his football as a centre half back (has awards in that position) but has never played afl as a ch/b, from out talks i wonder what others might think , strewth cant hurt after hawks efforts. shhite sumpin different

IMO Pedersen is actually an example of good depth on our list.

If we're in form and without many injuries I'm not sure he's best 22, but he's versatile (I still think his best football is as a rebounding defender, but he can play key forward as well as in the ruck) and has improved since he started with us.

This is the kind of player you call 'depth'. Not some of the other players on our list.

Dont think so.

You have overlooked a key strength of TMac.

Which is?

FMD some hairs need splitting over there.

I think Pedersen is a serviceable player at times who can clunk the odd mark and kick a few goals every few matches.

Handy attributes of course.

I also think he is a bit of a dumb footballer, misses the odd tackle badly, a poor defensive player, oftentimes selfish to a fault, and when not clunking marks has precious little effect on the game.

He's not useless, but needs to add a few strings to his bow if he's going to stay in the 22 while we get better.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
