• Bail was terrible last week but survives because we lack pace and Toumpas and Stretch were worse.

• I don't see how dropping Howe improves the side given the lack of talent.
• It will be interesting to see who McDonald goes to.

Might be interesting to see if they try and take Tommy Mc out of the game and draw him away from the contest. Will be an interesting tactical insight.

Can't see another club taking up his contract, even with only 1 year to go.

I expect he'll be a depth player next year, come in if Hogan misses. That is if we can land someone like Gorringe who can play forward and then chop out in the ruck.

He could give casey a marking option (if he takes them) down forward

He is a single grab mark. Is tough in the contest. And... IIRC... he slotted a match winner from the boundary last year?

He is just a late bloomer and does have skills! Like Stef Martin at Bris now. Pedo is also a little unfashionable, if he had a sweet haircut (say... a mullet!) and was tearing it up like he did on the weekend we would all be doing cartwheels. At the very least, he is far better than Dawes.

I'd start with Dunn at FB, McDonald at CHB as per usual and Garland picking up the 3rd tall. Which would mean:

Dunn - Boyd

McDonald - Crameri

Garland - Stringer

But I'd be open to swapping them around. Stringer is the most dangerous but I'd be concerned he's a bit too quick for McDonald. Boyd has the size that McDonald can deal with but if he's stuck deeper it could take McDonald out of the game. Someone (Grimes? Lumumba?) will need to do a job on Tory Dickson.

Stopping Bob Murphy at the other end will be a concern. We don't have a defensive half forward of quality nor do we have the dangerous half forwards to test his defensive ability.

As long as Dunn goes nowhere near Crameri I'll be happy. He cuts him up every time.

I'd put Vince on Murphy as that defensive half forward. He can still be smart enough to be a damaging player while limiting Murphy's influence.
