AFL Round 6 (non MFC games)

Jeezus! The Cats are slaughtering the Pies. Don't know whether Geelong are really still that good or maybe Eddiewood are just having a bad one.

They heard Eddie threatened to quit and they are trying to help him fast track his decision?

Gee swan has been terrible.

Has he lost fitness? He looks very heavy and slow on his feet. Took a couple of great grabs though

Most of the Collingwood crowd at the soccer, poor turn up.

Both teams around the middle rung I would have thought, probably fighting out for the 8th spot with a few others.

The teams Collingwood has beaten so far: Brisbane, St Kilda, Carlton. Essendon. Lost to Adelaide, Geelong. The only half decent team they've beaten is Essendrug. They've got Richmond, Gold Coast, Demons and GWS before the bye. The only high rated other team they play before the bye is Norf. Seems like a much easier draw than ours!!

Noticed that Mitch Clark wasn't at the post match singing of the club's song with his teammates. Then Chris Scott was asked in his press conference about "an emotional Mich Clark" in the rooms and what the situation there was. Chris Scott claimed to not be aware of it.

I thought something was very wrong when he missed that goal out on the full. He's just about the best set shot I've ever seen, so to see that was very strange.

People probably teased him again i guess.

Reported that Clark has cracked the shits and possibly an altercation with a Geelong offical

Chris Scott claimed not to be aware of Clark being emotional post game, yet Ch7 just showed Clark crying as he came down the race with Chris Scott putting his arm around Clark and consoling him. Good of Chris Scott to then tell us all that he knows nothing about it!

Chris Scott says he is not aware of the situation.

A few minutes later a replay is shown of Chris Scott consoling Clark into the rooms.

Something was really not right with Clark. He was quite upset. I'm guessing he got some really bad news once the game ended.

Post game coverage mentioned that more would be revealed tomorrow.

To all the Ckheads wishing injury to Mitch Clark your wish is about to come true..

I thought I saw C.Scott with his arm around Clark going down the race? Thought he was just emotional after the win, if he wasn't singing the song with his teammates though that's pretty alarming...

i know we all kind of like/hate/despise the guy, but this image is still quite heartbreaking. Behind all the rubbish, stands a human being just like all of us:

Hmmm... Rumours that a pie player landed on his foot in a marking contest and that he limped off the ground.

He didn't look like he was limping to the rooms though?

I think Melbourne supporters have all felt their fair share of heartbreak over Mitch Clark. I'm done with him, and couldn't care less if he never plays another game. Harsh, but that's how I feel.

It was exactly the same as the 2nd time he hurt it with us, exactly the same, same spot near the point post, just the opposite end of the G. I'll try to find it when I get some time.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
