Melbourne premiers in 2315.

Thx max. I'll be sending a time capsule to my great great great great grandson/daughter telling them to make the most of it!

Sorry but how many other players punched the ball away into the crowd when it was clearly over the boundary? The look on Dawes face when he did that and got pinged indicated he knew he'd be lucky to get a senior game next week.

WEll I can't blame him for being frustrated, I felt like punching the ball away too and I was 700kms away

I am ANGRY not sad or moping

ANGRY...that is what we must be

13 goals to 1 in the second half

ANGRY....Don't let the players off..

THIS IS EXACTLY WHY N. JONES IS NOT AN A GRADE CHAMPION

He Goes Missing when he must LEAD

Not the only one....all our leaders failed dismally. I reckon Jones is injured.

Davis got on top of Hogan, Ward did so many brave things and Mummy punched everybody up.

Why are you angry? GWS have got a magnificent midfield and they unearthed another one today in Wilson....they've also got 15 first round picks that didn't even play today!

We're a long way from being competitive against real talent.

Lets get it clear as there seems to be some falsehood in the game summary by posters on here. We stopped running in the early 2nd qtr. The overlap stopped and we started playing down the line. There was one decent quarter in this game. The only differences between the 2nd qtr and the 2nd half was GWS conversion ability and the self confidence that grew with that

some said last week that the hard MCG will tell in the legs over the next couple of weeks... the 'g's' grass was short, the soil hard, & it was mentioned that players legs will be sore for weeks.

Following Melbourne is like barracking for a team of Charlie Browns in a league of Lucys

'I'll hold the ball and you run up and kick it, Charlie Brown'

Why can't we come out in the 3rd quarter and steam roll a team for once??

They better respond next week against Adelaide.

Yes i wouldn't like to see another 186 which is what will happen if they play a whole game like they did in that 2nd half

Be great if we can keep it to less than a 100 points

If you are not angry tonight then you are forever accepting nothing

33 points up and the players went soft upstairs

That is why I am angry...

I'm worried about next week, Adelaide are amazing!! They are so skilful, so much pressure on the opposition... We're screwed if we play the way we did today next week.

That's an excuse, we were just beaten by a much more talented side, which are starting to get their act together. The lower clubs can never be expected to compete with a club that has been given so many concessions, AFL know that it HAS to work in Western Sydney if they are to save face, They have invested a lot of money to ensure it works. We cannot begin to compete with those odds.FACT!!!!

Looking forward to the garbage coming our way in the press conference

Same old same old I bet.

Roos must be counting down the days until he can hand over this pack of headcases.

Howe was really poor today and should be dropped. Not sure if not fit or what but he showed no interest today. Not good enough.

It's not that we lose.
It's how we lose.
Disgraceful.

I actually don't even care, strange really. Have just decided I'm not going to do this to myself anymore.

I'll check the scores occasionally but not going to put other things off or turn other offers down to watch the MFC anymore.

Disappointing that we had control and lost it. We've heard a lot about how to stop a team getting a run on but it didn't work today. Obviously we need another string to our bow! GWS outrun us... after the pre-season we have had, that is demoralising! This was a winnable game up to half time! We did not get back into the game on any level... Don't tell me that GWS have arrived! They are not going to make the cut against any top 8 side... ever!!! OK, good time to re-assess

Jones... must be injured

Dawes... JKH may have been better

Viney... where did he go?

Howe... where are you playing in 2016?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
