Yeah, it wasn't really a smother I guess. But as you say, it showed how completely comfortable he is with the physical stuff, because he chose exactly the right thing to do. He didn't try to tackle him, or to knock the ball away, which would have been ineffective. Didn't hit him too high or too low, and didn't overcook it and risk a free. Just hit him hard enough to knock him right off balance, and the ball just dropped so that he could pick it up uncontested.

Correct his instincts in tight and in that contest in particular were spot on and he showed no signs of hesitation. Was exciting stuff and perfectly executed.

vandenBerg always seems to get his arms free in the tackle and gives off cleanly and his 'cut' inside Saad and kick to Garlett for Jeffy's first goal was a thing of beauty.

Sorry, the tape on my old fangled VCR was destroyed after my drink slid off its coaster spilling into the tape feed mechanism causing me to lose the entire game. Note to self... never again use DVDs as drink coasters.

Vanders just looks like he is the complete package.....big body, knows how to find the footy, hurts the opposition, kicks goals, great Mark,and good tackler.

So as well as getting Frost, we also pick up VandenBerg. Another good reason to keep plundering GWS!! The gift that keeps on giving.

The coach of Ainslie directly called up George Stone to make sure they took a close look but I reckon it is just a boring story of Taylor, Viney and co. doing their jobs well as to why he is at the club.

I too heard from a recruiting guy that someone at Ainslie spoke with Stone about vanders and that's where it began.

Pig...hes a keeper.. Hes plays footy...doesnt stuff around. you have 100-120 mins to do your job...he does it in spades. halejuhah

As i metioned earlier on he has shown alot in one game then a 'certain player' who plays a similar position to Vandenberg. With this player coming out of contract out at years end i find It very hard to see him surviving if Vanders keeps playing like this.
