If anyone wants back at the Pies for their Howe intervention, having a Weideman in our next premiership side should do it

I don't need certain conditions to be satisfied with a premiership. (Although revenge on the Pies would be a nice aside)

The Cup will do fine thanks.

This is going to turn out better than what a lot of demon supporters are fearing.

The club knows what it's doing.

Mahoney's doing a great job.

All big fish start out as little fish at some point.

Our recruiters have done an excellent job of late so back them in.

The kids we are targeting in the draft will be hard at the ball like Brayshaw, and they will grow into our homegrown bigfish that can stand up on Grandfinal day.

This is going to be a good draft for us.

It's all good - stop worrying.

It looks like the Howe deal will go through Monday and Kenedy will be included.

The Bugg deal will get done as it is a simple one for a pick.

I wonder if we can trade up to 8 with GWS for picks probably including Bugg at the same time.

If that happens can we then do anything else. Prestia/OMeara are reported today as staying.

Can we become involved in Tomlinson. Is Gorringe an option?

Can we do a player and 6 for 3 with GC?

We will have 3.5 days to try something or is it complete something?

Personally I could live with having 6 and 8 in the ND.

If we miss Parish, Francis and Curnow would Weideman and Rioli be silly.

Despite all the hype Rioli is not a top 10 pick.

Im confused

That's my take on it. I'm guessing it's a pretty poorly researched article, it would have to include some draft picks moving around as well.

Bloody well hope so. Ridiculous otherwise.

So out of that deal, We would receive picks 29, 26, 46 and Ben Kennedy?

Giving up Howe and Toump

hmmm

Ok...i can see where this might go.

Sounds good - you then send all three picks to GWS for pick 8 and Tom Bugg.

Win/win for all because the three picks are worth more than 8 under the bidding system.

Then We can Go on and trade picks 26,29,43,46 (2,091 pts) For pick 8 (1,551 pts) and Bugg.

Beating Essendons offer of picks 23 and 25 (1,571 pts)

Makes sense?

I think theyd be eyeing off #3

We any chance to get Gresham? His highlights look incredible, looks like one that could be a real surprise.

26 has been earmarked for Aish.

Edit - wrong thread, sorry.

Cheers, reposted in the trade radio discussion thread.

Despite all the hype Rioli is not a top 10 pick.

Probably in the 25-40, which is where we may have a couple of extra picks if the 4 club deal goes through. Could be a Brad Hill type.

Wouldn't do 6 and 8 for 3 and 16.

Maybe 6 and a player for 3?

i simply suggested they will be looking to end up with #3 after all this...and some further haggling. Didn't say 6 and 8

they will still receive 24 for Freeman

Looks likely.

Would we consider trying to get Freeman, Kennedy and a pick from Pies, or is that too hard to organize with Freeman and would it spoil our "master plan"?

I'd love a Milera Weideman combo personally. Would cover off some list deficiencies in one swoop.

We've already dodged that bullet once.....why so keen on him still?

It would muddy the waters for our pick upgrade plans I would have thought.

If we get pick 8 they should use it on Carlisle.

That is why I posed the question including the reference to a "master plan".

He has been offered $650k per year by the Saints and that is why it is them and no one else.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
