We're not really going to know where we are until we compete against another team.

Thanks for the reports

"Salem doing one on one punching with Rawlings".

Been a few comments like this recently, seems pretty clear they're seriously thinking about him off HB.

Yes i can confirm this, He has also been doing alot of one on one contesting. Perhaps to get his confidence of engaging in a contest up. This mostly takes place after the main training session. I'm not reading to much into it but He is being groomed for that role it seems

Thanks for the reports, I did say Wednesday was a light day, it is Hogan's 'day off', so fact he was running laps no concern

Interesting that Salem was doing one on one with Rawlings again, will try and ask him on Friday what the deal is

No problems TDI, I was concerned at first but he was running strongly so all is well it seems,

I am interested to find out whats with Salem as well, Keep up the good work aswell.

There was a group of young mums with there kids at the gate and most of the players stopped had a chat and signed jumpers. Very approachable.

Given you were out at Casey, I'm disappointed that the young mums were wagging school to take their kids to training...

Thanks for the reports.

By the way, Casey is closer to Tas than Sydney.

So is Gabo island. Just.

any decent scooters?

We took ours last time we ventured to moccasin and trackie territory, didn't see any others, just Commodores and Monaros burning up and down the Berwick road alongside the pavement we were riding on

Nice to see Toumpas get a name check from somebody else beside me, again though where does he fit in the side, the NAB Cup will make interesting viewing in itself

I suggest that with the coaches emphasis on two way running, that those who do not do this come game day, may get used to their surrounds today! With our increased depth and fitness, there are no more excuses! Hopefully it was due to the lighter day as you suggested mate.

Totally agree, but Wednesday, apart from being a lighter day usually just concentrates on one thing, sounds like 'walking' through clearances today

I suggest he can be placed on the wing or Forward flank, his goal now is to break into the squad and try to cement a spot there. can see him playing a few games with the sub vest involved. Like to hear your thoughts TDI

Was Brock running late to training that day, Saty?

A number of encouraging aspects to date.

We're fitter generally and

There are more that are fit

Some seemed to have grown a better body ( though some havent )

Theres more raw talent at club and some other older talent seems to be coming on. We seem to be no longer in the potato business.

But for me the over whelming change is that we now have more and better folk in charge and they actually know how to play winning football and even better, how to teach it

we might even make a fist of this yet........ but its all conjecture til we meet somone in battle....anchors away !!!

My thoughts are like a lot of others at the moment, we seem to have so manyy fit and so many options, I want to see the NAB Cup.

Every time I try and do a 22, I find I have left somebody out that I think should be in.

Toumpas has been training really well, and with Roos I think adopting a clean slate at the start of each season, it is up to each player to play themselves in or out of the team

I'll do a 22 as of today, and just 22, and those fully fit as of today, and what I have seen at training

Dunn, Frost, McDonald, Grimes, Lumumba Jetta

Jamar, Jones x 2, Tyson, Cross, McKenzie

Hogan, Dawes , Gawn, Kent, JKH, Garlett

Toumpas, Salem, Newton, sub:Petracca

Dawes won't be there Rd 1 so Pedersen

Garland if fit replaces Frost who goes to the bench, meaning one of Salem or Toumpas would drop off

If Watts and Vince are fit, would have to have a rethink

And so it goes on

The thought of Salem rolling off half back and hitting up the hard leading Hogan is enough to give up my search for a meaningful relationship

I'm sure a lot of our other players will get a shot in nab cup, not all our 1st choice are flying to Perth so its a chance for Newton, michie, Reily and Toumpas to step up, also a chance to blood Brayshaw and CP, for our other games i want roo's to slowly introduce our more senior players. I believe for nab cup we can have more players on the bench. Its too early for a round one guess, Injuries happen during nab cup and there might be a few players flying high under the radar. Nab Cup will be interesting indeed

Hows Garlett been Training? Didn't really see him today, wasn't with the main group so i assume he doesn't have the endurance to play round one, Potentially sub.

I was eating lunch, whilst reading this, actually BBO may like this, I live in Collingwood but eat in a café on Victoria St, today we had a fully tattooed gentleman in muscle singlet and baggy denim shorts and a rather fetching pair of bright red high heels and matching lipstick, the joy of inner city livng

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
